“COVID-19 Armenia: United Against the Pandemic” is carried out in close cooperation with the President of the Republic of Armenia, the President of the Republic of Artsakh, the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs and the Ministries of Health and Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia. The Fund is in charge for coordinating the financial support coming from different Diaspora communities
Out of the total sum of $800,030, collected as of July 22, some $695,244 will be spent on purchasing large-scale medical equipment, assisting emergency health workers, providing monthly food supply to the elderly disadvantaged groups in Yerevan and the regions, as well as promoting the repatriation of a vast number of Armenian citizens.
In addition to the healthcare support, a donation of a large quantity of medical supplies and equipment was made in aid to the health sectors of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh).
The rest of the money will also be directed to healthcare assistance programs.
The Fund expresses its deep gratitude to the 1,000 individual donors, Armenian communities and organizations that joined the campaigns from 18 countries arround the world, as well as its entire network and partners for their trust and ongoing assistance.
It also reiterates its mission to create a solid pan-Armenian network in an effort to ensure the proportionate, sustainable and interconnected development of Armenia, Artsakh and the Armenian communities worldwide “based on the idea of a single identity”.
