The first annual Pan-Armenian Young Businessmen’s Forum opened in Yerevan on Friday, bringing together about 30 young Armenian entrepreneurs from different countries.
The event, which will run through July 22, will comprise two parts: a conference and a tour to the sights of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh).
Forty businessmen from Armenia and Artsakh have joined colleagues from the United States, Britain, France, Turkey, Israel, Iran, the United Arab Emirates, Latvia and Ukraine to consider avenues of fruitful cooperation.
The opening of the event was attended also by Vice Prime Minister Vache Gabrielyan, Minister of Diaspora Haranush Hakobyan and deputy ministers of economy and foreign affairs.
“It is very important to see that despite their participation in different business projects in foreign countries, Armenian businessmen never forget about the connection with their motherland. Such an aspiration among the youth is very inspiring, so I am hopeful they will manage to build business ties which will be long-lasting and sustainable,” Mr Gabrielyan said.
Minister Hakobyan also greeted the participants, expressing hope that that they their creative mind and talent will contribute to an effective partnership.
