Armenia’s Education Crisis: The PISA 2025 Results Should Concern Every Armenian

By Wally Sarkeesian The numbers are finally here, and they are difficult to ignore. So perhaps the problem isn’t the children. it is the uneducated, corrupt leadership For the first time, Armenia participated in the OECD’s PISA assessment, which measures what 15-year-old students can actually do in mathematics, reading, and science—not simply what they have […]

An Armenian Story Reaches the British Royal Family

By Wally Sarkeesian Sometimes history appears in the most unexpected places. The recent engagement of Samuel Chatto, the grandson of Princess Margaret and great-nephew of King Charles III, to British-Armenian artist Eleanor Ekserdjian is more than just another royal engagement. For Armenians around the world, it is also a reminder that our heritage continues to […]

Why Diaspora Armenian Must Begin Discussing a Government in Exile?

By Wally Sarkeesian The idea of an Armenian government in exile is not new. It has been discussed by many people over the years. The question is whether the Armenian nation has the will and the infrastructure to make such an idea meaningful if circumstances ever require it. After the Armenian Genocide, Armenians throughout the […]

Israel recognized Armenian Genocide, Pashinyan in Panic

By Wally Sarkeesian Breaking News: Nikol Pashinyan / Նիկոլ Փաշինյան in Panic Israel’s reported move toward official recognition of the Armenian Genocide has sparked significant discussion. If the Knesset ultimately approves such recognition, it would mark an important development in Israeli-Armenian relations. Today, the major Turkish newspapers are framing Israel’s move in noticeably different ways […]

By Wally Sarkeesian We are taking on a great responsibility. We must work together to ensure the continued development of our country. But before we speak about development, let us clearly define what we have inherited from the previous incompetent authorities. We have inherited:a lost second homeland.Occupied territories within the sovereign borders of Armenia by […]

America Lost Its Soul, After the USSR Fell

By Wally Sarkeesian Those of Us Who Lived in the U.S. Long Enough Witnessed the Shift — Before and After the USSR Fell When the Soviet Union existed, the West was restrained. There was a balance of power, and the U.S. had to behave more carefully. After the USSR collapsed, that restraint disappeared — and […]

Pashinyan Government Pays U.S. Public Relations Firm To Attack the Armenian Apostolic Church

By Harut Sassounian Last week, I came across a disturbing 8-page document described as a “White Paper” titled “Clarifying Church-State Relations in Armenia: A Rebuttal to the Narrative of Religious Persecution under Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.” It is dated Sept. 5, 2025. This is a blatant attempt by the Pashinyan regime to whitewash its shameful […]

Medieval Software. Modern Hardware. Our Politics Is Stuck in the Past.

By Wally Sarkeesian We Live in the Future — But Our Politics Is Stuck in the Past. We live in the 21st century with AI, quantum computing, blockchain, satellites, global markets, and massively networked societies… …but we are still running our political life on the mental software of the Middle Ages. trusting one Man to […]

By Wally Sarkeesian 1. Initial Promises (2018–2019)When Nikol Pashinyan first came to power after the 2018 “Velvet Revolution,” he presented himself as a democrat and a defender of national interests. He repeatedly stated that he had no right to decide Artsakh’s fate because he was not elected by the people of Artsakh. He emphasized that Artsakh must […]

How Cheap Drones and Political Choices Reshaped Armenia’s Security Reality

By Wally Sarkeesian What Armenian to do After Removing Pashinyan Once the preserve of wealthy states, air power has been upended by low-cost, prop-driven drones built from commercial parts. Iran’s simple, mass-produced loitering munitions — especially the Shahid-136 — proved that cheap, saturating strikes can inflict strategic damage, forcing expensive, painful shifts in air-defense thinking. […]

Armenia’s Election System and What It Means for Voters

By Wally Sarkeesian The way Armenia’s electoral system is set up (thanks to the geniuses in the previous government) is that to enter parliament, political parties must pass a 4% threshold (previously 5%), while multi-party alliances must pass 7–8% (previously 8%). This system, while presented as a way to ensure stability, in practice favors larger […]

Armenia’s Future Is on the Line: “Do not Debate Pashinyan”

By Wally Sarkeesian Armenia’s Future Is on the Line: “Do not Debate Pashinyan” The coming election is not politics as usual — it is a fight for the very survival of the Armenian nation. For years, since 2008, Nikol Pashinyan has deceived our people, divided our society, and led Armenia into loss and despair. Enough […]

The difference between a dictator and a traitor.

By Wally Sarkeesian Dictators invade. They take what belongs to others. Erdogan invaded Cyprus — half of it remains under Turkish occupation. Turkey also invaded northern Syria and northern Iraq. Saddam Hussein invaded Kuwait. Netanyahu continues the occupation of Palestine. That is what dictators do: they grab land. But traitors are the opposite. A traitor […]

Trusting Turks or Azerbaijanis is itself a betrayal of the Armenian nation.

Trusting Turks or Azerbaijanis is itself a betrayal of the Armenian nation. History shows us why: Armenians once lived across what is now called Turkey, the Ottoman Empire, which was originally Armenian lands. Then came the occupation, and we know the result—a systematic genocide that killed 1.5 million Armenians. In Azerbaijan, too, Armenians once numbered […]

Pashinyan’s Betrayal Dressed as Peace

Pashinyan’s Betrayal Dressed as Peace Armenians were promised peace. Instead, they got surrender. “Effective leadership, not just military might, defines a nation’s security. For three decades, Armenia’s capable leadership secured Artsakh and its borders, deterring aggression. Yet, a change in leadership in 2018 led to the capitulation of these gains, forcing a challenging peace upon […]

After Pashinyan dismantle Armenia wants Debate: Too Little, Too Late?

By Wally Sarkeesian “While public debate is generally a vital component of a healthy democratic process, the timing of Prime Minister Pashinyan’s invitation to former leaders for a debate on past decisions is perplexing for many observers. The nation faced numerous pivotal moments, particularly concerning Artsakh and significant territorial reconfigurations, where a broad national dialogue, […]

The September 19th & 19th: A Dark Mark on Armenian History Turkish crime repeated Dates often carry symbolism. For Armenians, two “19ths” stand as wounds carved into the nation’s soul: January 19, 2007 and September 19, 2023. On January 19, journalist and intellectual Hrant Dink was assassinated in front of the Agos newspaper office in […]

Armenia’s Financial Death: The Silent Collapse Behind the Revolution

Political revolutions promise renewal, but Armenia’s so-called “Velvet Revolution” has delivered something far darker — the slow financial death of the Armenian state. For centuries, Armenia’s survival has depended not only on courage and culture but also on its economic resilience. Today, under Pashinyan’s leadership, that resilience is evaporating. War, capitulation, and corruption have stripped […]

From Ankara to Yerevan: The Erdoğan Blueprint Behind Pashinyan’s Rise

By Wally Sarkeesian When Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited Istanbul earlier this year, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan handed him a copy of his book. To most observers, it was a symbolic diplomatic gesture. But to those watching closely, the moment carried a deeper meaning: Pashinyan’s political career had already followed Erdoğan’s blueprint step […]

Police Guarded, Nation Destroyed

By Wally Sarkeesian Nikol Pashinyan lobbied the world—meeting EU leaders, shaking hands with Putin, and standing before U.S. officials. Secretly meeting Erdogan and Aliyev Yet not once did he negotiate with strength or make a genuine attempt to save Artsakh. His mission was not defense, not dignity, not the protection of his people. But dismantling […]

By Wally Sarkeesian Armenia stands in the shadow of betrayalWill Pashinyan end up in the same rat hole as Saakachvili? History has a way of repeating itself. By Wally Sarkeesian A Nation in Peril This is not simply mismanagement. It is not mere corruption. Pashinyan’s: Betrayal, Silence, and the Price of Power

By Wally Sarkeesian In every nation’s history, there comes a moment when the people must ask whether their leaders serve the nation or serve themselves. For Armenians, that question has grown sharper in recent years as painful events unfolded around Artsakh, Syunik, and the broader struggle for sovereignty. Many now fear that instead of protecting […]

By Wally Sarkeesian Armenian Ruthless Dictator Nikol Pashinyan has transformed Armenia’s security landscape in ways that raise serious concerns about the country’s democratic future. This shift has […]
