YEREVAN. – A 62-year-old Armenian woman was wounded and her 94-year-old mother was killed in ceasefire violation by Azerbaijan late on Thursday.
Anik Mralchyan, sister of the wounded woman, said she was at home during the shelling. First her sister was wounded. Anik asked her brother to take theor sister to the hospital, but when she came back, she saww that their mother was killed.
“I was talking on the phone with my relatives when there was terrible noise and smoke. Half of the house collapsed. I saw my sister’s leg was bleeding and called my brother to take her to the hospital. When I was back, I saw mom was dead with a gunshot wound in her head,” the woman told Armenian News-NEWS.am correspondent.
She also saw how the neighboring house, where 41-year-old Sona Revazyan was killed, was collapsing.
As reported earlier, three women were killed in Armenian villages of Tavush region as a result of a mortar fire from the Azerbaijani side. Another four people were wounded.
