The march, which the Platform of the Turks of Belgium had planned for Saturday, and in connection with the debates over the Armenian Genocide issue, will be banned in capital city Brussels, announced Deputy Mayor Yvan Mayeur, wrote Le Soir daily of the country.
Schaerbeek Deputy Mayor Bernard Clerfayt, on the other hand, stressed that even though he has not allowed the protesters to march, the event was not banned. He decided “not to permit, but to be tolerant” toward the pro-Turkish demonstration in his community.
