The Turkish state is conducting a total war against Kurds
After the blow by President Erdogan in the elections of June 7, 2015, the Turkish state launched a total war against the Kurds. Up to deploy the Navy in Kurdistan, he uses all his old dirty war techniques. Curfews are imposed for several weeks in the towns of Cizre, Silopi and Sur. Other cities like Nusaybin, Dargecit, Lice and Varto sustained curfews with short intervals. To date, the Turkish security forces deployed in those cities have killed 260 civilians. Most of these deaths are due to artillery fire or police snipers.
The Turkish security forces are aimed in particular women and children. Finally, three Kurdish political activists were executed in Silopi, in the province of Sirnak, on the 23rd day of the curfew. This sap DEMIR, Assembly member of the Democratic Party of Regions (DBP) of Pakize NAYIR, Co-Chair of the People’s Assembly of Silopi and Fatma Uyar, Congress activist free women (KJA).
Imprisoned mayors
Since the last elections, 20 mayors Co-DBP have been jailed. Several others were dismissed from their duties by decision of the Minister of Interior. Meanwhile, the AKP, the ruling party, announced new measures: the directors appointed by the Government will now be responsible for replacing the removed Mayors. Thus, bureaucrats appointed by the state will undermine the popular will.
New laws against Deputies
While the above measures are implemented against the Kurdish local councilors, Turkish President Erdogan has once again demonstrated its intolerance of criticism by HDP Co-Chair Selahattin DEMIRTAS and Figen YUKSEKDAG, asking Prosecutors the Republics to take legal action against these two Kurdish deputies. It was enough Erdogan said “these people must pay,” so that justice and law are put in action against the Co HDP and other Members of this party.
A document containing an admission of genocide
A document recently discovered shows that the state approves the massacres of civilians in Kurdistan. “The fact that military personnel to refrain from using weapons for fear of prosecution can have very serious consequences,” reads the document on the command of the army which gives guarantees soldiers non-prosecution if they kill civilians.
A century ago, it was the Armenians
The Turkish regime is trying to repeat the genocide committed against Armenians in the early 20th century (1.5 million deaths) and those of Dersim, and Agiri Koçgiri against the Kurds (hundreds of thousands of deaths). There are two days, the AKP mayor of the city of Adana, Huseyin Sözlü, declared in public to the attention of Turkish Kurds, “you’ll end up like the Armenians.”
Forced displacement and political transformation of cities into concentration camps
The Turkish army is trying daily to forcibly displace the residents of the towns of Cizre, Silopi and Sur by threatening to massacre. Just in the neighborhood of Barbaros, in Cizre, some 7,000 people have been forced from their homes and transferred to a gym located in another area, before being asked to leave the city. People who refused to leave their homes were surrounded by the Turkish army regularly targets by artillery fire.
We ask that the Turkish State immediately stop the massacres in Kurdistan.
While the Turkish state is negotiating its accession to the European Union, killing, torture and imprison the Kurds. Why this silence of Europe and this policy of war and killing totally contrary to European values? The Turkish state attacking the Kurds who are in the frontline in the fight against Daesh. Why members of the anti-coalition Daesh do not react?
We call for solidarity with the Kurdish people against the Turkish policy of terror and war.
