Vazgen Safaryan, Chairman of the Union of Domestic Producers, says that the Public Council of Armenia has submitted four proposals to President Serzh Sargsyan.
One of them envisages enhanced powers for Armenia’s Ministry of Energy and Public Services Regulatory Commission for it to conduct an audit. Report tert.am
“Alternative electric networks are a necessity as monopolies imply abuse,” Mr Safaryan said.
He recalled mobile communication.
Mr Safaryan is for liberal competition.
As regards an audit of the Electric Networks of Armenia company, he considers it most important.
“An audit will show the company’s efficiency and losses, which must be checked.”
