On May 26, the Assembly – Meeting of the Regional Coordinating Committees of events dedicated to 100th anniversary of Armenian Genocide was held in the conference room of the Museum – Institute of the Armenian genocide at the initiative of the Ministry of Diaspora.
The Chief of Staff of the Presidency and events coordinator of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide Vigen Sargsyan delivered a welcome speech at the meeting – meeting.
Members of the state commission, the Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan, director of the Museum-Institute of Armenian Genocide and the Secretary of the State Commission on the coordination of events dedicated to 100th anniversary of Armenian Genocide Hayk Demoyan have also made speeches.
In his speech Mr. Demoyan presented the preparatory work of the Museum – Institute of Armenian Genocide (MUFA) dedicated to 100th anniversary of Armenian Genocide, especially the new museum exhibition, cooperation with the committees of the 100th anniversary and diplomatic representations, international cooperation, etc.
He also stressed the importance of the preparation of exhibitions devoted to 100th anniversary of Armenian Genocide. “Museums have long been out of their original mission. Now museums are part of the domestic and foreign policy ‘he said.
