Armenian Minister of Territorial Administration and Development Suren
Papikyan has announced plans to cut the number of employees at Armenia’s
Governor’s Offices by 30%. Minister Papikyan announced about the
decision on Monday at a briefing with reporters.
“We have conducted studies in number of Governor Offices and made a conclusion some 30% of the staff will be cut,” said Papikyan
In the minister’s words, a consulting company has been engaged in the
optimization works of the state administration, financed by Swiss
Development Agency. Papikyan then added, that the optimization in
Armenian regions will start once the government structure is approved by
the parliament.
“The optimization is aimed at raising the efficiency of the state
administration and engagement qualified specialists,” explained
Papikyan.
