The IT and Communication Employers’ Association could be an educational advisor for the State Engineering University of Armenia, the educational institution’s chief said today, proposing a cooperation plan.
Speaking at a news conference, Vostanik Marukhyan said he expects especially substantial recommendations in the drawing up of the academic curricula.
“The IT sector develops dynamically, so it is for the commissioner to dictate us the functions we should fulfill while giving corresponding knowledge to our students. Secondly, the Employers’ Association should serve for us as a platform for training the professors periodically,” he added.
Mr Marukhyan said he feels proud that the university headed by him has become a leader in Armenia’s IT sector thanks to its powerful human capital.
“Cooperation with employers must impart a new quality and content to the organization of our educational processes,” he said.
