In Igdir city, located in eastern Turkey, 24 people have been arrested by the country’s security staff on suspicion of spying.
According to Turkish media there are 9 citizens of Azerbaijan among those detained and one citizen of Iran, the Azerbaijani news agency “Haqqin.az.” reports.
The detainees were suspected of intentional interception of information related to national security. It was found out that the girls received secret information by getting into a love affair with the military, police and high-ranked officials and then passed it on to the third parties.
Media do not specify exactly for which country’s reconnaissance group the girls worked. Investigation is being carried out.
