Saakashvili grants Georgian citizenship to Turkish nationals

Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili has issued a citizenship order for 936 Turkish nationals, Georgia Online reported, citing the country’s Ministry of Justice.

The decision was reportedly made in violation of the State Service Development Agency’s rules.

A source at the ministry’s press service has told the website that they leanred of the decision only after receiving an official statement from the presidential office on Thursday.
