Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan received today the newly-appointed Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Armenia Muhamedniyaz Mashalov, the government press office said. The prime minister congratulated M. Mashalov on his appointment as ambassador and wished him success in his diplomatic mission. H. Abrahamyan highly appreciated the current level of interstate relations between Armenia and Turkmenistan. He expressed hope that Ambassador Mashalov will contribute to the further strengthening and deepening of cooperation in various spheres.
The ambassador thanked the Armenian prime minister for reception and assured him that he will make every effort to promote cooperation and close bilateral ties in various spheres. The interlocutors underlined the need to intensify economic links and efficiently use the existing potential. Other issues of mutual interest were also discussed at the meeting.
