In an interview with Tert.am, the spokesperson for Nagorno-Karabakh President Bako Sahakyan dismissed the recent statement by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov that the fundament principles for resolving the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict “have been largely agreed upon”.
“No such document exists. What we have are generalized approaches which can be called documents only with certain reservations. That’s the sum effect of the conflicting sides’ approaches, but there isn’t any final document as yet. The functioning principle here is that of consensus – i.e. nothing is agreed unless everything is agreed. Even if there is disagreement on a trivial point, we can’t say there is any progress at all,” he said.
