The minor court of Yerevan’s Center and Nork-Marash communities is now considering a petition for taking into custody 21 people detained by Armenia’s National Security Service.
The detainees’ lawyers and relatives arrived at the court, which is holding a closed session.
Levon Baghdasaryan, lawyer of Artur Vardanyan, who is leader of the armed band neutralized in Yerevan on Wednesday, told Tert.am that the court satisfied the National Security Service’s petition for 2-month custody for Mr Vardanyan.
“I am going to consult by client on Monday, and I will make a statement,” Mr Baghdasaryan said.
