While the world community speaks of the need for Armenian-Azerbaijani “reconciliation” and the establishment of trust, the President of Azerbaijan continues his aggressive rhetoric and announces an increase in the number of the Azerbaijani army.
“The military power of Azerbaijan will increase after the war. Appropriate instructions were given, new contracts were signed, the process of purchasing new weapons based on modern technologies began,” the president said, adding that structural reforms in the army have been approved, and the number of the armed forces will be increased.
Aliyev noted that Armenia should not use the expression Nagorno-Karabakh, since there is no territorial unit of Nagorno-Karabakh and the concept of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict does not exist.
“The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict has been resolved, Armenia must recognize this and work with us in the direction of determining the borders,” he said.
He also said that a working group on border delimitation should be created and work should be done on the preparation of a peace agreement.
