France will do everything possible to settle the Karabakh conflict, French President François Hollande stated in Azerbaijan’s capital city Baku, Haqqin.az news agency reported citing the official website of the Azerbaijan president.
“I have arrived in Azerbaijan within the framework of a regional visit. I also plan to visit Georgia and Armenia,” Hollande said.
The French president added that the present-day situation in Nagorno-Karabakh is still very tense.
“That’s why France, as a [OSCE] Minsk Group co-chairing country, will do everything possible to find a peaceful solution, which will enable Armenia and Azerbaijan to pacifically settle the conflict. I believe this is in the vested interest of the two countries,” he noted.
France President François Hollande on Monday will arrive in Armenia on a state visit.
