Armenian National Football Team and Dortmund Borusia midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan was named the year’s best football player of the year on Wednesday.
The sportsman, now 26, earned the title for the sixth time based on the results of a voting conducted by local media outlets, football clubs and members of the Football Federation of Armenia.
Mkhitaryan has been honored with “Gold Football”, the award intended for players named winners in this nomination.
He has already received the prize at the Federation and posted the photo in his profile on Facebook.
