Germany says Ankara is blocking a German delegation from visiting an air base in Turkey where German soldiers are based.
The Defense Ministry said on June 22 that Turkish authorities have refused without explanation a trip by a deputy defense minister and several lawmakers who had planned to visit the Incirlik air base in July.
A ministry official was quoted as telling a parliamentary panel that Turkey had said it blocked the visit because German lawmakers adopted a resolution last month recognizing the massacre of Armenians by Ottoman Turks a century ago as genocide.
Turkish officials were not immediately available for comment.
Some 250 German soldiers are stationed at the base in southern Turkey, along with Tornado reconnaissance aircraft and a refueling plane.
The contingent is participating in the U.S.-led air campaign against the Islamic State group in Iraq and Syria.
