France: National Day of the Republic of Armenia in Pont-de-Chéruy

The September 21, 1991, the Republic of Armenia shall be established, after 70 years of Soviet domination.

The Armenian community met with elected before the stele erected by the municipality of Pont-de-Chéruy it a few years ago. The latter paid tribute, as part of the centenary of the Armenian Genocide, Leon Terzian, who died in 2013, was first deputy of the city for three terms and chairman of the Armenian community, through an exhibition of photographs made by his son, Frederick Vartan (1961-1994). Both, in their own way, have fought for their country.
