The situation is extremely tense on the entire line of contact between the Nagorno Karabakh Republic and Azerbaijan. Karabakh troops continue successfully conducting defensive battles.
According to the Karabakh Defense Army reports, at least 30 Azeri special forces soldiers were killed in Talish direction alone, two tanks and two unmanned drones were destroyed in Martakert direction, and a helicopter was downed in the northern direction of the contact line.
Battles are especially fierce in the southeastern direction. Using armored equipment, including BM-21 Grad multiple rocket launcher, Azeris targeted not only Karabakh defense positions, but also civilian settlements, situated quite deep behind the frontline. Here, at around 12.30 pm, the Karabakh air defense units destroyed one Azerbaijani military helicopter and two more tanks.
The Nagorno Karabakh Defense Army estimates suggest that the Azerbaijani armed forces suffered more than 200 human losses on April 1-2.
On the night of April 1-2, Azerbaijani armed forces initiated overt offensive operations in the southern, southeastern and northeastern directions of the line of contact with Nagorno Karabakh, using artillery, armored fighting vehicles and air force equipment among other weapons.
Aside from the battles on the frontline, the rival has also carried out artillery strikes on civilian settlements and places of permanent deployment of several military units.
On April 2, at around 8:30 am, the rival used BM-21 Grad multiple rocket launcher in the Martuni direction of the contact line. 12-year-old Vaghinak Grigoryan was killed in the shelling, two more children were wounded.
Earleir, the Nagorno Karabakh special forces identified an Azerbaijani subversive group near the Levonarkh settlement and threw the saboterus back to their positions.
According to Armenia’s Defense Ministry, the rival troops retreated after suffering several human losses.

Fighting takes place on internationally recognised territories of Azerbaijan. Regardless of 4 UNSC resolutions, ECoHR decision on Chiragov and others v. Armenia case, Armenia still continues its occupation. Not any single rational person would enjoy war. I personally as well as gov. of Azerbaijan several times expressed that this conflict should be solved in peaceful terms. But, frankly, first of all, for that Armenian combatants should leave Azerbaijani territories.

War is a terrible thing. I can say as person whose family is affected by it. What we want is justice. What we want is to live in peace. What we want is to wake up in mornings without fear that our children might die in contact zone. For this there is only one thing to do. Armenian illegal troops should go out of Azerbaijan. Simple armenian does not need this meaningless war. What else can Azerbaijan do for peace? Isn’t autonomy enough?

Make dolma, not war! War has never brought advantage to any country, This conflict should and can be resolved in peaceful terms. However, two points should be met: Armenian armed forces should leave territories of Azerbaijan, ethnic Azerbaijanis should brought back to their lands. Simple, right?
All that can happen if azerbaijan recognize the independence of Karabakh, as simple as that.
Azerbaijan has been always supporter of peaceful settlement. During more than 25 years, Armenia has been always stopping peace negotiations with some ridiculous reasons. Our position has not changed during years: we demanded resolutions of conflict with regard to territorial integrity. Position of Armenia has changed so many times since start of war. First, u wanted to include Karabakh to Armenia. Then u wanted Armenians living in Karabakh an autonomy. Then u changed ur minds to “independent Karabakh”. We are and always been ready to solve this issue within Azerbaijani territories. even this small fact shows the truth about gov. of Armenia.

It is we who wanted peace. It is we who waited for morality of Armenia for more than 25 years. But, it is Armenia that illegally continued occupation of Azerbaijani lands, used its resources for gaining money, killed so brutally Azerbaijani children, elderly people as well as women. Just remember Khojali genocide. Ur president, Sargasyan himself said that “till Khojali Azerbaijanis thought that Armenians cannot kill, here we are!” Is it ur humanistic approach?

If can argue till morning about history. Did this territory belong to Azerbaijan or Armenia, some will argue it was Persian, etc. The truth is when Azerbaijan became independent in 1991, it borders included Karabakh. But now Armenian forces are there. Look, very simple, this occupation is illegal, illegitimate. U might try argue against it, but 4 UNSC and 1 UNGA resolution as well as statements of governments including EU, CoE plus judgement of European Court of Human rights are saying completely against ur stories.

Azerbaijan calls the International community to demand from Armenia to cease the illegal occupation of Azerbaijan’s territories, to withdraw its troops from all seized lands and to engage constructively in the conflict settlement process in accordance with the requirements of relevant resolutions of the UNSC and the norms and principles of international law.

U want history? here is history for you: After the end of first world war, France, Britain and US agreed to divide Turkey in seperation zones. One of its parts (eastern Turkey) was intended to be given to Armenia, but Ataturk ruined all of these ideas. Armenian desire of Greater Armenia and other kind of historical fake stories take its roots from this period. Armenians were massively moved to Azerbaijani territories (namely Karabakh and Nakhchiven) during Russian Empire in 19th century. During Stalin’s period of USSR, again Armenian were moved to Karabkh. It shows that this is our territories. You have illegally occupied it, killed our mothers and sisters. We pursued for more than 25 years peaceful resolution of this conlifct. We were ready to give autonomy to Armenians in Azerbaijan. But you refused! Nobody wanted war. Nobody wants it now. But with all my due respect, don’t u think time for leaving territories of Azerbaijan came?
