Around $120 million will be invested in the agricultural sector of Armenia in 2017, the Ministry of Agriculture said in a statement following the meeting of Minister Ignati Arakelyan, deputy ministers and representatives of the sector.
“Summing up the work done, we can state that projects worth some $120 million will be implemented in the sector in 2017,” Arakelyan said.
“The investments will be spent to build a canning factory and slaughterhouses, expand greenhouse farms, ramp up brandy production among other things.”
Arakelyan said regional development projects will be implemented too.
A number of other issues were also discussed during the meeting.
