YEREVAN. – The Minister of Defense of Armenia, Seyran Ohanyan, accused Turkey of supporting the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
Ohanyan made a statement to this effect at his joint briefing Wednesday with the visiting Minister of National Defence of Greece, Panagiotis “Panos” Kammenos.
He said regional and international security issues were discussed during their talk.
“Problems with neighbors concern us all,” the Armenian minister stressed.
He added that the international community’s attention is focused on this region, but there are regional countries—that is, Turkey—which support ISIS.
“We condemn this,” Seyran Ohanyan stated. In his words, such actions, which refer to Armenia’s strategic ally—i.e. Russia—, undermine the international fight against terrorism.
