The aim of the Made in Armenia-2016 exhibition is to support domestic producers and afford opportunities for them to establish contacts with foreign businessmen, Karen Mkrticheian, Executive Director of the Development Foundation of Armenia (DFA), told reporters on Wednesday as he spoke of the exhibition to take place at the Meridian expo center on September 19-22.
“We often do not know anything about products manufactured in Armenia’s regions. So it is an occasion for Armenian producers to cooperate,” Mr Mkrticheian said.
More than 320 companies from Armenian and Nagorno-Karabakh specializing in food production, jewelry, light, pharmaceutical, mining and precision machinery industries, building materials and information technologies are participating in the exhibition.
On September 20, on the sidelines of the Made in Armenia-2016 exhibition, the DFA will organize the economic forum “Armenia as a bridge to great markets”, which will discuss investment projects in transport, pharmaceutical industry and agriculture. Representatives of government-run and private sectors from Armenia, other member-states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) and Iran will participate in the forum.
