Լեհաստանում ՀՀ նախկին դեսպան Էդգար Ղազարյանը պատրաստվում է ԱԺ նախագահ Ալեն Սիմոնյանին նվիրված սթենդ ափ ներկայացում բեմադրել, որի վերնագիրը կլինի «Ոսկե հորթը»։ Մեզ հետ զրույցում Ղազարյանն ասաց, որ նման գաղափարի առաջացման պատճառ է դարձել Ալեն Սիմոնյանի՝ Ղազարյանի դեմ ներկայացրած դատական հայցը՝ կապված զրպարտություն համարվող տեղեկատվությունը հերքելու պահանջի հետ։

Ավելի վաղ «Հրապարակը» գրել էր, որ Ալեն Սիմոնյանն ընդդեմ Ղազարյանի հայց է ներկայացրել՝ իրեն «ամենամեծ կոռուպցիոներ» անվանելու համար․

«Երբ որ ես դատարանից ստացա գրությունը, որ իմ դեմ հայցադիմում կա և դատաքննություն է սկսվելու, որի օրը դեռ պարզ չէ, բայց դատարանը գործն ընդունել է վարույթ։ Մամուլից էլ տեղեկացա, թե ինչ պատճառով է դա եղել․ պարզվում է, որ դատական հայցի առարկան այն է, որ ես իրեն անվանել եմ «մեծ կոռուպցիոներ»։ Ես այստեղ, իհարկե, մի քիչ սխալվել եմ, որովհետև նյութերի ուսումնասիրությունը ցույց է տալիս, որ ինքը շատ մեծ կոռուպցիոներ է։ Երբ պատրաստվում էի դատարան հայցին ի պատասխան փաստարկներ ու հիմնավորումներ ներկայացնելու, և ուսումնասիրելով նրա անցյալն ու գործունեությունը, այս պահի դրությամբ առանձնացրել եմ առնվազն 20 ակնհայտ կոռուպցիոն դրվագներ Ալեն Սիմոնյանի գործունեության առաձին հանգամանքների վերաբերյալ։ Եվ քանի որ դրանք բոլորը փաստաթղթավորված են, այսինքն՝ հիմնավորված են իրավական ակտերով, որոշումներով, իր ինսթագրամյան և ֆեյսբուքյան էջերի, Ազգային ժողովի պաշտոնական էջի, նախագահականի պաշտոնական էջի լուսանկարներով, տեղեկատվությամբ, իր գործուղումների մասին որոշումներով և այլն, այդ հիմնավորումները, որոնք առարկայական են, ես որոշեցի մինչև դատական նիստը ներկայացնել սթենդ ափ ձևաչափում, այսինքն՝ փաստերը լուսանկարների հետ, իրականության հետ՝ ի տես հանրության, որովհետև շատ հարուստ նյութ է ստացվել։ Ես արդեն վերնագրել եմ այդ ներկայացումը, որը կոչվելու է «Ոսկե հորթը», և անդրադարձ է լինելու այդ ամբողջ կոռուպցիոն գործունեությանը, այսինքն՝ հիմնավորելու է այն պատասխանը , որը մենք պետք է ներկայացնենք դատարան։ Այսինքն՝ մինչև դատարան ներկայացնելը ես պատրաստվում եմ իմ ձեռքի տակ եղած ամբողջ նյութերը ներկայացնել հանրության ուշադրությանը»,- ասաց Ղազարյանը։

Հարցրինք՝ վայրը, օրը արդեն որոշե՞լ է, թե որտեղ ու երբ է լինելու, Ղազարյանը պատասխանեց․

«Ես, ճիշտն ասած, կուզենամ, որ դա լինի հանդիսատեսի առաջ, այսինքն՝ մարդիկ ներկա լինեն, կենդանի շփում լինի, բայց քանի որ դրա փորձառությունը չունեմ, այսինքն՝ երբևէ նման ձևով ես հանդես չեմ եկել, և որևէ համագործակցություն չեմ ունեցել որևէ կազմակերպության հետ․․․, գուցե հենց իրեն էլ դիմեմ, որովհետև ինքը մինչև ԱԺ նախագահ լինելը պրոդյուսեր է եղել, դերասանական գործունեությամբ է զբաղվել, կլիպեր է նկարել և այլն, իրեն կդիմեմ, կասեմ, որ այդպիսի գաղափար կա։ Իհարկե, որտեղ էլ լինի, իրեն անպայման կհրավիրեմ, իրեն և իր կոռուպցիոն դրվագների բոլոր հերոսներին, օրինակ՝ իր եղբորը՝ «Եվրոասֆալտ» ընկերության գլխավոր տնօրենին, որ այդ կոռուպցիոն դրվագի մի մասն է, իր մայրիկին, որը խուլիգանական պահվածք էր ցուցաբերել հանրության նկատմամբ, և միայն Ալեն Սիմոնյանի կոռուպցիոն ներգրավվածության հետևանքով ազատվեց պատասխանատվությունից։ Այսինքն՝ ես իրենց պատրաստ եմ հրավիրել, բայց կարծում եմ, որ ճիշտ կլինի կազմակերպական հարցերով իրեն դիմեմ, և կարծում եմ առաջիկայում կդիմեմ իրեն, որ ինքը իր փորձից ելնելով կազմակերպի, դառնա այդ նախագծի պրոդյուսերը, որովհետև ինքը այդ նախագծի գլխավոր հեղինակն է, լավ կլինի, որ պրոդյուսերական գործունեությունն էլ ինքը ծավալի, և դա կդիտիվի որպես ստեղծագործական աշխատանք, որը թույլատրելի է պատգամավորի պարագայում»,- ասաց Ղազարյանը։

This statement of Marukyan was not accidental either. This is one of the defeatist theses of Nikol Pashinyan’s government today.

The authorities are even disbanding the operative headquarters of Artsakh, and are preparing to disband the representative office of Artsakh. All state institutions, universities, departments, and the Defense Ministry of Artsakh are being dissolved. A question arises. And how was Azerbaijan able to keep the dream of owning Karabakh for 30 years, how was it able to return the completely Armenian marz that was separated from it for 30 years? During that long-term struggle, Azerbaijan created many structures and public movements, financing and growing the artificial entity “Azerbaijani community of Karabakh” from Azerbaijanis who emigrated from Artsakh. He was campaigning all over the world about Artsakh being Azerbaijani and finally achieved his goal. And the Armenian government wants to erase the word “Artsakh” and the Artsakh state in just 10-15 days, which has existed for at least 30 years and is a historical Armenian land.

Why didn’t Azerbaijan, defeated 30 years ago, quickly abandon the idea of ​​having Artsakh? Why does the Armenian government come up with theses to forget everything? These are questions that have one answer. An agency network serving Azerbaijan’s agenda has come to power in Armenia.

During the Second World War, the foundation was laid for the phenomenon of governments in exile. The most famous were the Polish and French governments-in-exile that operated in Great Britain. The French government-in-exile immediately took power in France after the end of the war. The Polish problem was more complicated, because the Soviet army that liberated Poland formed a government (naturally, with the participation of Polish communist forces). If we go further into the historical past, we can observe the initial version of this phenomenon in the form of Jewish communities. Which were operating in many European and Asian countries when year At the beginning of the 2nd century, they were almost completely expelled from their homeland.

In the case of Nikol’s prime ministership, it is not even theoretically possible to form an exiled government of Artsakh in Armenia. Nikol cuts the roots of everything related to Artsakh, why would he allow such a structure to be formed in Armenia? As Ambassador with Special Assignments Marukyan Edmon stated, “Preserving the lost Artsakh institutions is a matter of national security for Armenia.” But since for Marukyan and all other Nikolists, the maintenance of Nikol’s power is “a matter of national security”, it would be much more honest if the Nikolian instruction to forget everything related to Artsykh was presented just like that.

It turns out that the exiled government of Artsakh can be formed only in the diaspora. But whichever country you take, it will be against the existence of that structure in its territory. So, whether we like it or not, the issue of the existence of the exiled government of Artsakh under Nikol can be considered closed. Instead, the Armenian Apostolic Church creates a diocese in exile, or rather, preserves the diocese of Artsakh, with bishop Vrtanes Bishop Abrahamyan as the leader of the diocese. Considering that in the absence of statehood, our church has always taken on management functions, the same can be the case in this case. But we must also take into account that the enemies who occupied our territories allowed the official existence of the church, and Nikol’s government will try to cause problems in terms of the activities of the Artsakh Diocese. So the diocesan leader must be ready and able to overcome such obstacles.

BREAKING: Israeli Settlers arrive with guns and dogs on the Cows’ Garden (Goverou Bardez). We are all following the heartbreaking events that are taking place in Israel and Gaza where thousands of innocent people are killed, and hundreds have been taken hostage by Hamas. I condemn all loss of life and hostage-taking regardless of nationality, race or religion.

Throughout history, as victims of mass murders and Genocide, Armenians understand well the tragic effects of large-scale killings. Before, during and after the 2020 Artsakh war, the most gruesome crimes were committed against thousands of Armenian soldiers and civilians by Azeris.

At the end of the war, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Russia signed an agreement that called for the exchange of all Prisoners of War. Armenia kept its end of the bargain by freeing all Azeri prisoners immediately, while Azerbaijan is still holding dozens of Armenians in captivity three years later. No one knows their exact number. These detainees have been wrongly tried and sentenced to long prison terms not only in violation of the 2020 agreement, but also the Geneva Convention. Armenian prisoners have been tortured while in Azeri custody and an unknown number have been killed.

To make matters worse, after occupying Artsakh last month, Azerbaijan captured eight high-ranking Artsakh government officials, including three former presidents, the former State, Defense, and Foreign ministers, deputy army commander, and Chairman of the Artsakh Parliament. They are all held as hostages with no hope that they will be released anytime soon.

Turning to the tragic predicament of the over 200 hostages captured by Hamas in Israel on October 7, 2023, I support all efforts to have these hostages released as soon as possible. Several hundred Hollywood celebrities, including Madonna, Chris Rock, Justin Timberlake, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jerry Seinfeld, and Tyler Perry, signed a joint letter to Pres. Joe Biden urging him to “not rest until all hostages are released.”

Last week, an article appeared in various entertainment magazines and websites that publicized the letter signed by the celebrities to Biden. The press release about the letter was distributed to the media by Melissa Zukerman, the Managing Partner at Principal Communications Group, a PR agency in in Los Angeles. Despite the good intentions of the initiators of the campaign, a regrettable mistake detracted from the commendable effort.

The letter included a paragraph that said: “We urge everyone to not rest until all hostages are released. No hostage can be left behind. Whether American, Argentinian, Australian, Azerbaijani, Brazilian, British, Canadian, Chilean, Chinese, Danish, Dutch, Eritrean, Filipino, French, German, Indian, Israeli, Italian, Kazakh, Mexican, Panamanian, Paraguayan, Peruvian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, South African, Spanish, Sri Lankan, Thai, Ukrainian, Uzbekistani or otherwise, we need to bring them home.”

I commend the celebrities, Ms. Zukerman and everyone else who had a hand in preparing the letter to Pres. Biden. However, I was surprised to see in the list of captured nationalities a reference to ‘Azerbaijani’ hostages. As I had not heard that any Azerbaijani was kidnapped by Hamas from Israel, I wondered if that information was accurate. So, I sent Ms. Zukerman an email asking about the veracity of the reference to an Azerbaijani hostage. She did not reply to my email. She also ignored my follow-up email as well as a phone message I left for her.

Having done further research, I discovered that there were no reports about an Azerbaijani hostage, except for eight Azerbaijanis, of which two were dual Azerbaijani-Israeli citizens, who were regrettably killed by Hamas during the attack.

I then contacted the agent of one of the celebrities who had signed the letter and asked her if she knew anything about an Azerbaijani who was taken hostage by Hamas. The celebrity’s agent told me that in the version of the letter that her client had signed there was no mention of Azerbaijan or any other nationality. When I sent her the copy of the letter publicized in the media, she was shocked to learn that Ms. Zukerman’s office had asked the celebrities to sign a version of the letter that did not include the names of the 33 nationalities, Ms. Zukerman’s office must have then sent the altered version of the letter to Pres. Biden without informing the celebrities that what they had signed is not what was sent to the White House. Appallingly, these celebrities were not informed of the change in the letter either before or after signing it. This is highly unprofessional and unethical.

So, this is how Azerbaijan was included wrongly in a letter to Pres. Biden, making one its citizens a victim of hostage-taking, while in reality, Azerbaijan is the one that is guilty of taking Armenian hostages. Regrettably, Ms. Zukerman ignored all of my attempts to find out from her how such a mistake could have happened, and why no effort was made to correct it or at least provide a proper explanation? As far as I know, there are no Azerbaijani hostages in Gaze or anywhere else in the world. If I am wrong, Ms. Zukerman had plenty of chances to correct my information but refused to do so.

Lastly, the letter stated, “No hostage can be left behind” (www.NoHostageLeftBehind.com), which implies that all hostages in the world, no matter who had captured them and wherever they are, should be released. Such an all-inclusive plea should have also referred to the dozens of Armenian hostages held in Azerbaijan.

Only when we care about all hostages without any distinction, we can claim that we are true humanitarians.

The US has its own interests in the region, and the Armenian side should make efforts to increase attention to the South Caucasus in Washington and elsewhere. This was said by the former ambassador of Armenia to the US, Grigor Hovhannisyan, at the APRI Forum, entitled “Progress in Times of Uncertainty,” organized by APRI Armenia.  In his opinion, Armenia should become an actively neutral country that does not belong to any alliance.

He pointed out the problem of institutional memory, reminding that the relations between Armenia and the US began not in the 1990s, but in 1920.

“At that time, the US recognized Armenia, there was an [Armenian] embassy there, and the [Armenian national] flag remained in its place in the US until the 1930s. But then already in the 1990s, the US projects and deals with Azerbaijan strengthened the positions of Baku and weakened the positions of Armenia,” Hovhannisyan noted.

According to him, the US is not yet ready to take more serious restraining moves in the region.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received the Apostolic Nuncio of the Holy See, Archbishop Jose Avelino Bettencourt, who is completing his diplomatic mission in Armenia, the PM’s office informs Armenian News-NEWS.am

Archbishop Bettencourt presented Prime Minister Pashinyan with the Knight Grand Cross Order of Pius IX , one of the highest honors of the Holy See awarded by Pope Francis, in recognition of Pashinyan’s contribution to the strengthening of ties between Armenia and the Holy See.

The premier thanked for this high assessment, and emphasized the interest of the Armenian government to consistently develop ties with the Holy See. Also, Pashinyan wished Archbishop Bettencourt success in his future activities.

Armenians must shoulder their own responsibility. In the 1990s, Armenians displayed unity much like the Jewish community, successfully defending against Azerbaijan. Despite several attempts by the Turks and Azeris to breach Armenia and Artsakh, their efforts proved futile. However, in 2008, a terrorist emerged in Armenia, launching a violent attack on the government, resulting in the tragic loss of 10 lives and injuring hundreds. The perpetrator was apprehended, tried, and sentenced to 7 years but served only 2 years.

This individual was later seen as a pawn by Armenia’s adversaries, exploited to undermine the country. In 2018, the terrorist returned with a thirst for vengeance, colluding with the enemy to engineer a war against Artsakh and Armenia. Ultimately, this individual, acting on behalf of Armenia, capitulated, handing victory to the enemy.
