Members of the civic group Right Wheel on Friday rallied outside the Government in a new protest action against the law banning the import of right-hand drive (RHD) vehicles to Armenia.
The activist said they have their own proposals regarding the controversial legislation.
The government approved the bill proposing the ban on Friday. The legislation, entering into force on April 1, will not be retroactively effective, allowing the owners of cars imported by the mentioned date to use, register and re-re-register their property.
The group demanded a meeting with Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan to discuss the proposals. “A meeting with the premier is not our top concerns; what we seek is a solution,” said one of the activists.
