February 13, 2023 By administrator

If Erdogan is not considered a crime against humanity and if he is financed when he supported DAESH, threatens Europe, and sends us migrants and terrorists; if we trade with the criminal Aliyev who massacres the Armenians, then international law is a sham!

Türkiye slams Mexican resolution on 1915 Armenian Genocide events while Pashinyan sends 100 tonnes of aid

February 11, 2023 By administrator

Mexican Senate resolution recognizing 1915 events as ‘genocide’ incompatible with Türkiye-Mexico friendship, says Foreign Ministry

ISTANBUL

Türkiye on Thursday slammed a Mexican Senate resolution on the 1915 Armenian events against the country.

“The resolution adopted by the Mexican Senate on February 8, 2023 and recognizing the 1915 events as ‘genocide’ is an invalid attempt to rewrite history with political motives. We reject and strongly condemn this decision. We remind you that legislative bodies do not have the authority to interpret and judge history,” said a Foreign Ministry statement.

The statement further said that this attempt is also clearly against the 1948 UN Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide and the decisions of the European Court of Human Rights confirming that the 1915 events are a matter of legitimate debate.

It noted that it is unfortunate that this decision coincided with a time when search and rescue activities were being carried out for earthquake victims in Türkiye with the participation of teams from several countries including Mexico, adding “it is incompatible with Türkiye-Mexico friendship.”

“We call on the Mexican Senate to correct this misstep, instead of serving the agenda of some circles that try to create hostility from history,” it stressed.

Despite Türkiye being one of the first countries to recognize Armenia’s independence in 1991, the two countries have been divided on a range of issues, including Yerevan’s occupation of Azerbaijani territories, the events of 1915 during the reign of the Ottoman Empire, and the border closure between the two neighboring countries since 1993.

In 2021, Ankara and Yerevan mutually appointed special representatives to normalize ties.

What “humanitarian” lessons will Erdogan learn when Pashinyan bandages his bloody hands…

February 9, 2023 By administrator

By Naira Vanyan

And so, the strong earthquake, which turned many provinces of Syria and Turkey into ruins, brought not only material but also significant human losses.

Terrifying and moving videos of dead or surviving children being pulled out of the rubble are being shared online. The severe consequences of this disaster will become more evident when the search and rescue operations are completed and the number of victims and missing persons is determined. The earthquake turned into rubble those provinces of Turkey that once belonged to historical Armenia, but were occupied by the Turks at different times and under different circumstances.

Armenians were massacred, raped, slaughtered and buried alive in those territories. And this seems to have been the curse of the land, a retribution for the barbarities committed. On the one hand, we see the punishment of the exalted one. where Armenian blood was spilled, Turkish blood is spilled today, and the “fatherland thief” does not enjoy his “theft”. And the natural disaster caused conflicting feelings among the Armenian society. Maybe, if there was no 44-day war, the approach would be a little different. one could think that it happened a century ago, today’s Turk is different, he is good, he has no guilt for the sins committed by his predecessors. In this case, humanism would surely speak to many of us. But now it’s a different reality, just a year and a half ago, the Turks committed genocide in Artsakh of an entire young generation, raised Yrablur, turned Armenian mothers into black clothes, the bodies of many Armenian youths have not been found to this day. Thousands have been disabled. Our wounds are still bleeding, not closed. Mothers with children are still screaming in pain. Obviously, Turkey saw preparations for a new war with Armenia, witness the large-scale military exercises in Kars… And this means new victims, new bloodshed. But nature put a stop to that plan, perhaps temporarily.

What will this society feel when it sees the one who brought these disasters on its head in a similar tragedy… it is difficult to be forgiving and feel pain…

But the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, decided to deliver humanitarian aid to Turkey, regardless of public dissatisfaction. 27 rescuers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs left Armenia to Turkey to participate in the search and rescue operations in Turkey. This caused intense anger among the Armenian public. In fact, Pashinyan is bandaging Erdogan’s bloody hands, hands drenched in Armenian blood. Let’s not repeat the labels that the Armenian society gave to Pashinyan’s move. Let’s admit that it is a very humanitarian and Christian act. And what will Erdogan feel about this? Will he finally understand that one cannot shed the blood of the neighbor’s children when you have children too? Will he be ashamed of the disasters he has brought upon the Armenians? Will he try to wash his bloody hands, will he understand that the blood of an Armenian cannot be erased from his hands or cleaned…

The Seyfo genocide of 1915 was recognized by the French Senate!

February 8, 2023 By administrator

Seyfo Center Team

Today, February 8, 2023, was a historic day in the French Parliament. The “Assyrian/Chaldean Genocide Bill” drafted by the well-known French senators Valérie Boyer and Bruno Retailleau was approved after it was presented.

It is a well-known fact that, between 1914 and 1918, under the Ottoman Empire’s rule, hundreds of thousands of Assyrians were massacred in the context of the Armenian genocide. The Republic of Turkey, which still denies the genocide, was founded on the Christian genocide. This denial by Turkey is the biggest obstacle to the healing of a deep and open wound. Therefore, the recognition by the French senate was welcomed.
Many Assyrian personalities and representatives from various institutions, including the president of the Seyfo Center, Sabri Atman, as well as Professor Joseph Yacoub, were present. Following the adoption of the bill, Mr. Atman said, “The decision that has just been taken is historic and deserves a standing ovation”.

He continued, “No doubt our people and institutions living in France have gone to great lengths to achieve this. This historic moment is dedicated to them. I heartily congratulate them and all the French senators who supported the bill. The struggle will continue!”
This decision by the French senate was received with joy and a festive mood among our people and our French friends.

Armenian Children Cut Off From Parents By Azerbaijani Blockade

January 16, 2023 By administrator

Some 270 Armenian children have been cut off from their parents in the breakaway Azerbaijani region of Nagorno-Karabakh after Azerbaijan blocked the only road linking Armenia to the landlocked enclave. The children are now attending a school in Yerevan, where they came for a singing competition when the blockade began in December.

A letter to the President of the US Mr. Joseph Biden @POTUS from a citizen of Armenia Ms. Hasmik Melikyan. Save 120,000 Artsakh people

January 15, 2023 By administrator

By Wally Sarkeesian,

Letter from the citizen of the Republic of Armenia Ms. Hasmik Melikyan to the President of the United States of America J. Biden.

January 15, 2023: The Honorable Joseph R. Biden, Jr. President of the United States 1600 Pennsylvania Ave, NW Washington, DC 20500 “

Dear President Biden: You showed your courage on April 24, 2021, when you open and boldly uttered the words “Armenian Genocide” in “President Biden’s Armenian Memorial Day Statement”! It has proven that you, as President of the United States and as a person, are keeping your campaign promises, as the other President of the United States, R. Reagan did it. It also showed your respect for the Armenians who live in the US and have a huge impact on the life of your country. Dear Mr. President, I am sure that you are well aware of the deadly situation around the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (Artsakh) – a small but invincible and very strong republic inhabited by Armenians who are physically NOT able to live with Azerbaijanis, blood-seeking terrorists who kill unarmed captured Armenian soldiers,

who rape and cut off alive all parts of the body of Armenian female soldiers and who put stones in the eye sockets of captives! All these terrifying actions were even presented by the blood-seeking barbarians on the Internet! Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) are physically unable to live with those who block the ONLY road connecting Nagorno-Karabakh with the Republic of Armenia for 35 days! We live in the 21st century, but the Armenians of Artsakh suffer from the medieval executions of Turkish-Azerbaijani barbarians who remained in their development on the level of the Dark Ages! Dear Mr. President, PLEASE once again show your courage and recognize the INDEPENDENCE of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (Artsakh).

This step will be another proof that you are a Great Person and the Leader of a truly democratic country that respects the right of nations to self-determination, the right of the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh to live in peace and raise their children in peace, but not in the Blockade! Recognition of the independence of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic will have a Domino effect, and many other countries will follow your steps!”

Sincerely yours, Ms. Hasmik Melikyan, MA in Political Science, American University of Armenia; MPA, Georgia State University, Atlanta, US Yerevan, Republic of Armenia January 15, 2023
