In other words, in the party that is waving the brand of fair elections, even the internal voting is not fair, but they want us to believe that the national elections are organized fairly and transparently.
Let’s remind that 48 people expressed their desire to be nominated in the department, 15 of which had to be elected. Each of the more than a thousand CP members who participated in the congress voted for 15 people, and the board was formed from the 15 party members who received the most votes. He and the others did not expect that Armen Pambukhchyan, Hakob Simidyan, Alen Simonyan, among the founders of the party, who will be left out of the board, will receive so few votes. And it is clear that the somewhat changed composition of the congress should have elected them and deleted some of them at their urging. But the most active role was played by Arpi Davoyan, who handled the organization of the congress.

This group of KP assets was not satisfied with pre-election regulations, and by influencing the will of the delegates, they also “worked” with the counting committee, which included former deputies’ assistants, NA experts, who were managed and directed by this group. Yesterday we were told that Nikol Pashinyan was also interested in the recount. Although we are not sure about it, because, as a justification, they mentioned that it was his adviser Alexander Avetisyan who demanded a recount. Yesterday, Avetisyan tried to assure us that he has nothing to do with the recount process, he did not submit an application, because it will not have a significant impact on the votes he received: he received 196 votes, the passing vote is about 400, but he mentioned in his speech that he personally is in favor of the recount. “Since there is a human factor factor, maybe it’s right to count again, I am in favor of it, but I also claim that there could not have been any intention, but if there is a recount, it will not be in the context of an appeal, but simply to get the final picture, because there were too many people, it happened manually and mechanically. calculation: one read, the other typed.

The second president of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan, has called on people to join Saturday’s rally to be held in downtown Yerevan.

“One cannot despair. The fight must continue in Artsakh [(Nagorno-Karabakh)] and Armenia. Join!” the ex-president wrote on Facebook, and posted the announcement video clip of the “rally of unity” to be held at France Square.

Azerbaijan is pushing forward a narrative that Armenians living in Nagorno-Karabakh for centuries should either stay on Azerbaijani terms or leave for a third country, claiming that this isn’t an ethnic cleansing. Edmon Marukyan, Ambassador-at-Large of Armenia and Chairman of the Bright Armenia Party, wrote this on Twitter. 

“I’m curious whether the authors of this thesis believe in what they say?” Marukyan added.

Armenia’s second President Robert Kocharyan will take part in the November 5 unity rally of the Office of the Second President of Armenia Bagrat Mikoyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The rally of unity in support of Artsakh will be held in France Square at 3 p.m. on November 5.

On November 16, hearings will be held in the United States Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, during which Washington’s policy in the South Caucasus will be assessed.

Karen Donfried, Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs at the US Department of State, and Philip Reeker, US Senior Adviser for Caucasus Negotiations and Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group for the US, will speak at the hearings.

“After working tirelessly for many months with Governor Newsom and his office on the launch of his Council on Holocaust and Genocide Education, we are gratified that the Governor has appointed long-standing member of our ANCA-San Francisco chapter, ANCA-WR Education Committee member and Executive Director of the Genocide Education Project Roxanne Makasdjian to represent the Armenian American community on this distinguished Council,” said Nora Hovsepian, Esq., Chair of ANCA-Western Region.

Governor Gavin Newsom had announced the launch of the Governor’s Council on Holocaust and Genocide Education during a visit to the Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles on October 6, 2021. The Council will be tasked with identifying instructional resources to teach students across California about the Holocaust and other acts of genocide and provide young people with the tools necessary to recognize and respond to on-campus instances of anti-Semitism and bigotry.

“An attack on any of our communities is an attack against all Californians and our state will not stand by as the forces of hate instigate acts of violent extremism that put lives at risk,” said Governor Newsom. “California is taking action with major investments to support anti-hate programs and enlisting the expertise of demonstrated leaders in Holocaust and genocide education to inoculate young people against the dangerous messages of hate and division pervading our public discourse.”

State Senator Henry Stern, Attorney General Rob Bonta and State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Thurmond are serving as Co-Chairs of the Council. Also serving on the Council as legislative members are Assemblymembers Adrin Nazarian, Jose Medina, James Ramos and Rebecca Bauer-Kahan, and Senators Scott Wiener, Connie Leyva, and Susan Rubio.

“I could not imagine a more important moment for this council to launch this critical work. The council members bring a depth of knowledge, experience, and expertise and I look forward to working with them as co-chair,” said State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Thurmond, Co-Chair of the Council. “We know that comprehensive Holocaust Education implemented at all schools is an essential part of our effort to combat antisemitism and all forms of hate. Since the launch of the Council in October 2021, Governor Newsom’s office has been in constant communication with ANCA-Western Region and representatives of other communities to identify academics and experts to serve as members of the Council.
