Protesters demanding resignation of Garegin II enter administrative building of Holy Echmiadzin

July 6, 2018 By administrator

“Shortly ago, members of a well-known initiative entered the administrative building of the Holy Echmiadzin, with an obscene behavior, with his usual ultimatum demands and provocative actions. They are absolutely not inclined to listen to the calls of the clergy to stop such unacceptable and reprehensible behavior,” Father Vahram Melikyan, director of the information system of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, wrote on his Facebook page, adding that at 12:03 the members of the initiative are trying to use violence.

Turkish protesters cleared of charges over Armenian Genocide banner

May 31, 2018 By administrator

The Prosecutor’s Office of Istanbul has ruled that the phrase ‘Armenian Genocide’ lies within the limits of freedom of speech and thought, Ermenihaber.am reports.

IHD’s (Human Rights Association) Istanbul Branch organized a Genocide memorial service in the Sultanahmet district of the city on April 24. However, the police dispersed the remembrance program on the grounds that there were banners with the term ‘Genocide’ written on them.

IHD activists Laman Yurtsever, Jiyan Tosun and Gamze Özdemir, who carried the banners, were taken into custody and released afterwards.

The inscription on the banner in question called for recognizing the Armenian Genocide in which 1.5 million Armenians were murdered at the hands of the Ottoman Empire in 1915-1923.

When the investigation over the incident was over, Istanbul Public Prosecutor’s Office decided there was no room for prosecution.

The decision was based on other decision taken by the European Court of Human Rights

IHD Istanbul Branch pointed out that the decision of the Prosecutor’s Office is important and that it should be taken into account from the angle of political will.

Albania protesters demand Prime Minister Edi Rama’s resignation

May 26, 2018 By administrator

Thousands of people have taken to the streets in Tirana, demanding Prime Minister Edi Rama step down from his post. Protesters accuse the government of having ties to organized crime and trafficking groups.

Angry protesters in the Albanian capital Tirana marched along the city’s Martyrs of the Nation Boulevard on Saturday chanting “Rama go.” Some hurled stones at the premier’s office building and the interior ministry.

“Albanians are protesting against the government’s ties to organized crime and trafficking, which is undermining the future of Albania and now European integration efforts,” Democratic Party leader Lulzim Basha told The Associated Press.

Basha said that “hundreds of thousands” of people participated in the anti-government march, which lasted for two hours.

There were reports of clashes between police and protesters. Ardi Veliu, the national police chief, said 11 officers were wounded while trying to keep protesters away from government offices.

The opposition also accuses Interior Minister Fatmir Xhafaj of supporting his brother who turned himself in to Italian authorities to serve a 2002 drug trafficking sentence. Xhafaj denies these allegations.

“No politicians should be guaranteed impunity,” Basha told the rally participants on Saturday.

Albania’s EU bid

The Democrats, who lost last year’s parliamentary election by a huge margin, say the incumbent government is proving to be an obstacle to Albania’s European Union bid. The Balkan nation, which has been a NATO member since 2009, is expecting to start EU membership talks next month.

Last month, the European Commission recommended that the EU launch membership talks with Albania and Macedonia. The EU believes that Albania and Macedonia, which were granted EU candidate status in 2014 and 2005, respectively, have made enough progress to warrant the start of accession talks.

Any prospective members must make sweeping reforms to secure their entry to the bloc.

EU diplomatic chief Federica Mogherini said the recommendation “is an encouragement to these countries to continue on the path of reforms.”

Hailing the announcement, Prime Minister Rama said the commission’s backing shows that the tiny West Balkan country has “at last come out of a crossroad between the past and the future.”

protesters blockade four ministries

Demonstrators led by Armenian MP Nikol Pashinyan, the leader of the opposition Civil Contract party, surrounded the building of Yerevan Municipality at around 3 p.m. on Wednesday, urging Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan to go out.

The police officers immediately locked the two entrances of the building, preventing the protesters from breaking into the city hall.

Afterwards, the opposition protesters staged a sit-in at Grigor Lusavorich Street close to the Municipality, with groups of activists joining them from the France Square.

The opposition leader announced they are waiting for news about the releases of the detained activists, as promised by police officers.

After their sit-in, the demonstrators marched to the Republic Square to block the entrances of the government buildings housing the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Justice, Diaspora and Education and Science.

Addressing the protesters, Pashinyan said he had to leave for 1.5 hours to conduct a consultation with organizers of the protest campaign Armen Grigoryan and David Sanasaryan ahead of today’s big assembly in downtown Yerevan.

Before heading to the headquarters of the Civil Contract party, he urged the activists to display a respectful attitude towards police officers and the employees of ministries.

Mass anti-government demonstrations resumed in Armenia on Wednesday morning, protesting ex-president Serzh Sargsyan’s nomination and election as the country’s prime minister.

Armenian Protesters Propose Students Serve In Military While In School

November 22, 2017 By administrator

Armenian draft protesters proposed that students be allowed to serve in the military for several months a year while studying in universities as a way of carrying out Armenia’s new military draft system.

The proposal was presented during a roundtable discussion on November 22 that parliament members and Armenian defense and education officials agreed to hold with the protesters in exchange for their halting street protests against the draft last week.

David Petrosian, one of the leaders of the “For Science Development” protest group that spearheaded weeklong rallies and a boycott of classes at Yerevan State University and other schools, suggested to the roundtable that his plan was a way of “bringing the army into the university.”

Petrosian’s plan would apply to students pursuing bachelor’s degrees as well as masters degrees at Armenian universities.

He said students would be able to fit in about four months of military service during each school year, scheduling two separate two-month periods of service.

“This allows us not to take the university to the army, but to bring the army into the university,” he said.

Petrosian argued that under his plan, “the principle of the continuity of students’ education will not be violated, and at the same time students will participate in the service.”

The proposal was in response to legislation curbing student deferments of the military draft that was approved by the Armenian National Assembly on November 15 and will become law upon signing by President Serzh Sarkisian.

Under the legislation, to get a draft deferment, all male students must sign contracts with the Ministry of Defense and agree to serve three years in the military after completing their studies. Otherwise, the young men will be drafted to serve for two years once they turn 18.

The new restrictions on student deferments were sought by the Armenian Ministry of Defense, which argues they are needed to close a key loophole used to avoid compulsory military service as well as to ensure all young men are treated equally.

The student protesters and other critics of the law say it will discourage students from pursuing scientific careers and will eventually harm the development of science in the country.

Defense officials and lawmakers at the roundtable seemed open to the Petrosian plan as a way of easing the problems raised by students with the new system.

Deputy Defense Minister Artak Zakarian noted that Petrosian’s proposal is similar to a system now used in Switzerland, though he added that is a country where there is no threat of war.

Deputy Parliament Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov, who represented the ruling Republican Party of Armenia, said “the discussion has been a successful one, because we hear each other, because from both sides there are common approaches and the desire to give a more comprehensive and full solution to the problem” raised by students.

Sharmazanov suggested that the government could take the students’ ideas into account in carrying out the new law.

“The ball is in the government’s court now,” he said. “Let’s start to work with the government together to make your recommendations documented so that they can be reflected in government decisions and sub-legislative acts. This is my suggestion.”

Did the Turkish President’s Security Detail Attack Protesters in Washington? What the Video Shows

May 26, 2017 By administrator

Erdogan criBy MALACHY BROWNE, CHRIS CIRILLO, TROY GRIGGS, JOSH KELLER and NATALIE RENEAU MAY 26, 2017

The New York Times reviewed videos and photos to track the actions of 24 men, including armed members of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s security detail, who attacked protesters in Washington last week. Many of the protesters were American citizens.

The men kicked people lying on the ground and put a woman in a chokehold just a mile from the White House. They outnumbered the protesters nearly two to one.

The State Department has condemned the episode, and some American lawmakers have called for the men to be prosecuted. But none have been charged with a crime. Here’s what video of the main actors shows about the identities of the men and the roles they played in the clash.

Ten of the men who attacked protesters appear to be part of a formal security detail. They dressed in dark suits, and they wore in-ear radio receivers, Turkish breast pins and lanyards with identification cards. At least four of the men carried guns.

Two of these men charged protesters and appeared to start the main part of the fight.

We used five camera angles to track the movements of these two men throughout the melee. One man’s identity card shows Turkish and American flags and Turkey’s presidential seal, suggesting he is a member of the delegation visiting the United States.

Soros-Funded Anti-Trump Protesters Rioting in Cities Across America: Fomenting National Crisis and Martial Law?

November 14, 2016 By administrator

soros-funded-ani-trumpBy Joachim Hagopian,

Globalist investor in murder and mayhem George Soros is at it again, funding his MoveOn.org to organize post-election “sour grapes” protests around the country in response to underdog Trump’s surprising President-elect victory. Complicit crime partner mainstream media is having a field day deceitfully spinning these top down, billionaire driven demonstrations as a spontaneous, grassroots populist uprising against racist dictator Donald. From a press release from MoveOn.org:

The gatherings – organized by MoveOn.org and allies – will affirm a continued rejection of Donald Trump’s bigotry, xenophobia, Islamophobia, and misogyny and demonstrate our resolve to fight together for the America we still believe is possible.

The Soros-affiliated machine further boasts:

Within two hours of the call-to-action, MoveOn members had created more than 200 gatherings nationwide, with the number continuing to grow on Wednesday afternoon.

The Washington oligarchy’s propaganda ministry wants the world to believe a groundswell of concerned, mindful citizens have taken to the streets in a surge of moralistic patriotic fervor determined to derail the spread of Trump’s legitimacy as the so-called leader of the “free world,” that is if you still believe living in a fascist totalitarian police state called Amerika is still “the free world.” Thanks to the likes of the Clintons, Obama and the Bushes who’ve for decades conspired to strip away all our constitutional rights and freedoms in the name of New World Order deep state tyranny, “the free world” no longer exists on this planet. But the self-righteous, follow-the-leader sheep of befuddled malcontents rioting in the streets across America haven’t a clue with propaganda lies now owning them.

Why are the most advertised Gold and Silver coins NOT the best way to invest?

In every large city in America that voted heavily for Hillary, a Soros organized and financed mercenary army has been unleashed engaging in violent destructive behavior. We’re all supposed to accept MSM reporting that tens of thousands of fellow Americans who in good conscience just can’t accept a Trump-led United States are joining forces in righteous solidarity, defiantly marching now in large numbers crying foul that that a “xenophobic racist” is soon to be our president. They’re violently hitting the streets in robotic, monkey see, monkey do support for a former serial rapist president and his thug wife who intimidated and silenced all his victims and who also lost Tuesday’s election.

And as far as their track record, the Clintons have been consistently supporting and implementing the globalist agenda that exploits racial tensions promoting racial and religious division and war against dark-skinned people. Though the Clintons have always paid lip service pretending to support minorities in order to secure their votes, they have never done anything beneficial for people of color. Take a look at how they raked in millions from their Haiti post-earthquake scam, leaving the Western Hemisphere’s poorest nation’s people abandoned, still suffering and thoroughly ripped off. If you want to get real with racism and sexual perversion, then look no further than the Clintons. But in a truth-starved, deep state world, the automatons now running violently in America’s streets have systematically been conditioned to be oblivious to the truth.

In Hillary and Bill’s belated concession speech, each conspicuously wore purple in a symbolic covert message giving the green light to the latest Soros’ funded “color revolution” taking place in America. As Paul Craig Roberts incisively observes, the anti-Trump protesters are mere tools of the oligarchy to “de-legitimize” the Trump presidency the same way Soros funded while Hillary’s US State Department NGO’s were used to disfavor the democratically elected Ukraine president three years ago that led to his overthrow in February 2014. Soros-Hillary’s blood-soaked hands in past color revolutions sponsored by the CIA destabilized the Middle East and North Africa during 2011’s Arab Spring Uprising that included Syria, Tunisia, Egypt, Libya among others.

Baghdad Protesters Demand Turkish Troops Withdraw From Northern Iraq

October 18, 2016 By administrator

baghdad-protest-turkey-out

Supporters of Iraqi Shi’ite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr shout slogans during an anti-Turkey protest in front of the Turkish Embassy in Baghdad on October 18.

Thousands of Iraqis have gathered outside the Turkish Embassy in Baghdad to protest against Turkey’s military presence in northern Iraq.

Protesters demanded that Ankara withdraw from a base near the city of Mosul, in line with repeated requests by the Iraqi government.

The demonstrators, who included followers of hard-line Shi’ite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr, chanted slogans such as “Get out, occupier.”

The Turkish military presence inside Iraq has caused tensions between Baghdad and Ankara.

The Iraqi government denies it has granted permission and has ordered the Turkish troops to withdraw.

Turkey has ignored the call, saying its soldiers were training Iraqi fighters to help retake Mosul from the Islamic State extremist group.
