The Embassy of Armenia in France is deeply saddened to learn of the death of Mrs. Ovsanna Kaloustian, at the age of 106 years.

Doyenne of French of Armenian origin, one of the last witnesses of the Armenian Genocide in Ottoman Turkey, Mrs. Kaloustian was and will forever remain a proof of the vitality of the Armenian people after so many trials and a strong symbol of the fight against the forgetfulness and denial for future generations.

At this moment of great sorrow our thoughts are with all Armenians of France and especially the family of Ovsanna Kaloustian is all his relatives to whom we extend our deepest condolences.
