Armenia’s Minister of Economic Development and Investment Suren Karayan has visited a new production shop of the Alex Textile company.

The minister toured round the production shop and and inspected the production process.

“Yesterday, we presented the 2017 investment pattern, with light industry listed as well. And this new production shop is on this list,” the minister said.

Mr Karayan also plans visits to the companies that are launching or expanding their activities and are on the government-approved list. All the investment programs will be monitored, to resolve problems and discuss if the government can support the companies.

Mr Marat Movsisyan, Director of the Alex Textile company, said that the company plans to create about 350 jobs. The company has received a number of orders, for example, an order from the Russia-based Children’s World chain.
