Karabakh MFA: Peaceful population on both sides of border has long become a hostage to Azerbaijan’s policy

July 5, 2017 By administrator

Karabakh MFA, AzerbaijanSTEPANAKERT. – In the evening of July 4, 2017, the Azerbaijani side committed yet another provocation, firing at the territory of the Republic of Artsakh, Karabakh Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The statement reads as follows:

“For the first time since the April aggression in 2016, the armed forces of Azerbaijan employed TR-107 multiple rocket launcher system. The fire was launched from the positions located in close proximity to residential buildings in Alkhanlu village․

The Defense Army of Artsakh was forced to take counter-measures to suppress the fire activity of the Azerbaijani army. The incident provoked by the Azerbaijani side, unfortunately, led to casualties among the villagers.

Since the April aggression up to now, we have repeatedly drawn attention to the fact that the Azerbaijani side, in violation of all the norms of international humanitarian law, does not disdain to use its civilian population as a human shield for shelling the territory of Artsakh.

The peaceful population on both sides of the border has long become a hostage to the Azerbaijani authorities’ policy of constant escalation of tensions on the Line of Contact between the armed forces of Artsakh and Azerbaijan and sabotaging the efforts of the mediators to restore the negotiation process.

The incident once again confirms the importance of the agreements reached at the summits of May 16, 2016 in Vienna and of June 20, 2016 in St. Petersburg, aimed at the stabilization of the situation on the Line of Contact. The immediate implementation of these agreements, torpedoed by Azerbaijan, will allow to prevent the recurrence of such incidents in the future.”

Karabakh MFA: Defense Army subdivisions closely watch adversary’s actions

August 11, 2016 By administrator

Karabakh MFASTEPANAKERT. – The Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Defense Army (NKR DA) subdivisions closely watch the actions of the adversary, the NKR Defense Minister Levon Mnatsakanyan, who is also the commander of the NKR DA, told journalists on Thursday, Artsakhpress reports.

In his words, after the April military actions, the cases of ceasefire violations at the frontline have decreased 2-3 times as compared with the same period last year. However, according to Mnatsakanyan, this does not mean that the Armenian intelligence and subdivisions carrying out shift, have weakened their vigilance; the adversary still continues to carry out active land and aerial intelligence actions.

“The Karabakh Defense Army subdivisions closely watch the adversary’s actions and continue carrying out military shift,” the Defense Minister said.

Turkey MFA says astonishing things about Armenians

June 3, 2016 By administrator

Turkish MFAThe Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Turkey issued a ridiculous statement following the German Bundestag’s passing of the resolution that recognizes Armenian Genocide.

“Turkey tries to honour the memory of the Ottoman Armenians, shares their sufferings, preserves Armenian cultural heritage and takes significant steps for paving the way for reconciliation between the two neighbouring nations. In this respect, there is nothing that Turkey will learn from the Parliament of the Federal Republic of Germany,” the Turkish MFA statement specifically reads.

It is unknown whom the Turkish MFA wants to deceive with such statement, since even those in Turkey do not believe in such words.

And after the Turkish PM’s remarks that something commonplace, which can happen in any country, occurred with the Armenians in 1915, the Turkish MFA should have remained silent.

The Bundestag, the lower house of the German parliament, on Thursday formally recognized the Armenian Genocide, with the aforesaid resolution and with only one vote against and one abstention. The resolution also notes that the Bundestag regrets that the German government at the time did nothing to stop this crime against humanity, and therefore the Bundestag also acknowledges the respective historical accountability of Germany.

Russia MFA representative reminds Turkey of fate of Ottoman Empire

May 4, 2016 By administrator

Russia -ottoman dreamThe Turkish authorities dream of restoring the Ottoman Empire, but they forget about its fate, Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) official representative Maria Zakharova told Izvestia daily newspaper of Russia.

She noted that even though Moscow has endeavored to settle, at the negotiating table, its differences with Ankara, Turkey’s incumbent authorities, to which Russia has “tolerated too long,” thwart everything.

Zakharova added that there is no need to expect a change in Ankara’s position in a foreseeable future, since the Turkish authorities “strain the situation.”

According to the Russian MFA representative, Moscow, on the other hand, has a constructive attitude.

Bulgaria ambassador to Turkey summoned to MFA due to Armenian Genocide issue

April 28, 2015 By administrator

bulgaria-mfaThe Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) has “strongly” condemned the use of the phrase “large-scale massacre” in the Bulgarian parliament decision with respect to the Armenian Genocide.

As per the MFA statement, this decision regarding the events of 1915 “demonstrates an antagonistic attitude towards Turkey.”

“No doubt, this decision will negatively affect Turkey-Bulgaria relations.

“These views have also been expressed to Bulgaria’s Ambassador to Ankara, who has been invited to our Ministry today,” the statement also reads.

In recent times, the Turkish MFA has manifested similar reactions also to Cyprus, the Vatican, Germany, Austria, France, Russia, and the US.

In the case of the Vatican and Austria, however, Turkey has even recalled its ambassadors to these states.
