A set of three was released including Kimoji Vibes, Kimoji Cherry, and Kimoji Peach.

Kim Kardashian West pushes White House for more drug sentence commutations

June 14, 2018 By administrator

“OK, we did this,” Kardashian West tells “Today” after Alice Johnson was freed. “Let’s open up this conversation.”

by Alex Johnson,

Kim Kardashian West has given the White House reports on several other nonviolent criminal offenders for possible commutation after she persuaded President Donald Trump to commute the sentence of Alice Marie Johnson, she told “Today” in an exclusive joint interview with Johnson.

Kardashian West said she “saw compassion” when she met with Trump, who as recently as March promised to “seek the death penalty against drug traffickers, where appropriate under current law.”

“I saw a different side,” Kardashian West said Wednesday. “And I think that this is just the beginning of something greater. … The reality is people change their mind.”

Trump last week set aside the sentence of Johnson, 63, who was sent to prison for life in federal court in Tennessee in 1996 for attempted possession of cocaine and conspiracy to possess cocaine. According to the 1994 indictment, Johnson was a ringleader of a multistate operation that trafficked in thousands of pounds of cocaine during the early 1990s.

Johnson doesn’t deny that she was involved in the drug conspiracy, having said she needed quick money to feed her family. She was a first-time offender and was never accused of any violent crime.

Kardashian West, the star of several reality TV shows and the wife of music superstar Kanye West, visited Trump at the White House with her attorney in late May to plead for Johnson’s release, pointing to corrections officers’ assessment of her as a model prisoner who became an ordained minister while in carceration.

In the interview — during which the two women met in person for the first time — Kardashian West said she had assembled a large legal team and was pursuing clemency for several other nonviolent offenders — whose cases she said she has forwarded to the White House for review.

“This is like, ‘OK, we did this,'” Kardashian West said. “Let’s open up this conversation.”

Kim Kardashian Sets Meeting with Trump … To Get Alice Marie Johnson Pardoned!!!

May 30, 2018 By administrator

Kim Kardashian will meet with Donald Trump. Kim will make the trip without KUWTK cameras or her sisters. According to TMZ, the reality-show star goes on with her quest to free imprisoned great-grandmother Alice Marie Johnson.

Kim and her attorney, Shawn Holley, have scheduled a meeting Wednesday with Trump to lobby for a pardon for Johnson who’s currently serving a life sentence at the Aliceville Correctional Facility in Alabama.

KKW and Shawn have been working with Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner for months to free Alice, but now the Prez is getting involved directly.

The 62-year-old great-grandma’s case became national news last year when Kim tweeted about it — she was sentenced to life in prison without parole in 1997 on money laundering and drug conspiracy charges … her first offense.

Alice wrote Kim a heartfelt thank-you note for pushing hard for her pardon, and she could have a great reason to write another one soon.

Kim Kardashian takes out New York Times ad calling for recognition of ‘Armenian genocide’

Kim Kardashian, the world’s most famous Armenian, has taken out a full-page ad in The New York Times calling for the massacre a century ago of up to 1.5 million Armenians to be recognised as genocide.

It was in response to the Wall Street Journal publishing an advertisement earlier this year, which supported the denial of the event.

The United States and Australia are among the nations that do not recognise the event as a genocide. Reality television star Kardashian has long campaigned for that to change, and visited its memorial last year.

What did the ad say?

On Saturday, Kardashian’s advertisement read:
“For the Wall Street Journal to publish something like this is reckless, upsetting and dangerous.

“It’s one thing when a crappy tabloid profits from a made-up scandal, but for a trusted publication like WSJ to profit from genocide – it’s shameful and unacceptable.”

She went on to ask:

“If this had been an ad denying the Holocaust, or pushing some 9/11 conspiracy theory, would it have made it to print?

“Many historians believe that if Turkey has been held responsible for the Armenian genocide, and reprimanded for what they did, the Holocaust may not have happened.

“In 1939, a week before the Nazi invasion of Poland, Hitler said, ‘Who, after all, speaks today of the annihilation of the Armenians?’

“We do. We must We must talk about it until it is recognised by our government because when we deny our past, we endanger our future.”

What do we know about the event?

One-and-a-half million Armenians and other minorities were forcibly expelled from Ottoman Turkey and went on to die during the so-called death marches between 1915 and 1917.

Armenians recognise this as a genocide, a term which Turkey has outright rejected.

Turkey accepts that many Armenians died in partisan fighting which started in 1915, but denies that up to 1.5 million were killed and the deaths constituted an act of genocide.

Who recognises it and who doesn’t?

Pope Francis inflamed the debate last year describing it as the ‘first genocide of the 20th century’ during a mass to mark the centenary of the Ottoman killings of Armenians during World War I.

Countries like France and Germany both recognise the event as a genocide, France even has a law against denying the event.

Australia and the United States do not recognise the event as a genocide at a federal level.
