The only Armenian resident of Derik district in Turkey’s Mardin province visited St. Gevorg church on the Easter.

Before the Armenian Genocide, the village used to have considerable Armenian population, Agos newspaper reported.

Zekeria Sabuncu, a man who returned to the native community from Istanbul five years ago, visited the Armenian church and lit a candle on Easter Sunday.
