The adversary launched another reconnaissance and diversion infiltration attempt on Friday at around 1:40am, in an easterly direction of the Line of Contact between the Karabakh-Azerbaijani opposing forces.

Vanguard units of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) Defense Army, however, detected, in timely fashion, the advancement by the Azerbaijani special military forces comprising 20-25 soldiers, and drove them back their starting positions while causing them casualties.

The Armenian side on the other hand, suffered no casualties during the skirmish.

In addition, the adversary, using rifle and artillery weapons, violated the ceasefire around 110 times on late Thursday night and early Friday morning. During this time Azerbaijan fired more than 2,000 shots, including 35 shots from mine throwers.

But after the retaliatory actions by the vanguard units of the NKR Defense Army, the adversary’s “activeness” was quelled.
