Israeli Aircraft Struck Syrian Troops while syrian Repelling Terrorists’ Attack in Golans

June 24, 2017 By administrator

A source on the ground told RIA Novosti that the Syrian government forces have been repelling a massive Nusra-Front terrorists’ attack in the Golan Heights when they were struck by the Israeli Air Force in the area.

“The [Syrian] army repelled a massive al-Nusra Front attack on the city of Baath in the Quneitra province [bordering the Golan Heights]. The army took up the fight with terrorists. The attackers have suffered losses. [Syrian] aviation and artillery helped repel the attacks,” the source told RIA Novosti.

According to the source, a Israeli Air Force helicopter launched a strike on the Syrian army in Baath at the moment of the al-Nusra Front offensive.

Earlier on Saturday, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said that the Israeli Air Force attacked the Syrian government forces’ tanks and artillery positions after 10 projectiles fell on the Israeli-controlled part of the Golan Heights.

According to Al Mayadeen channel citing a source, at least two Syrian soldiers were killed in the airstrike.

The majority of such incidents are described by the Israeli military as accidental overspills during clashes between the Syrian government forces and opposition groups.

The Golan Heights, internationally recognized as Syrian territory, was seized by Israel during the Six-Day War in 1967. In 1981, the Israeli parliament voted to annex two-thirds of the region. The United Nations has repeatedly stated that Israel’s occupation of the Golan Heights is illegal, calling for it to be returned to Syria.

June 17, 2017 By administrator

Washington Police Release Video Of 8 More Erdoğan Bodyguards Wanted For AttackThe Washington DC Metropolitan Police Department released a video on Saturday of eight more “persons of interest” believed to be in Turkey’s autocratic President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s security detail who were involved in an attack on protesters in front of the Turkish ambassador’s residence in Washington last month.

According to the video, eight individuals dressed mainly in the suits and uniforms that were worn by Erdoğan’s security detail during his visit to the US on May 16 are being sought by the police.

Urging the public to inform them of the suspects’ whereabouts, the DC Police Department said information provided could be eligible for a reward.

The Washington Post reported on Thursday that a dozen security guards for Erdoğan are now wanted by D.C. police, who on Thursday declared them criminal suspects and accused them of attacking peaceful protesters during a visit to Washington in May.

According to the report, D.C. Police Chief Peter Newsham said during a press conference on Thursday “rarely have I seen in 28 years of policing the type of thing I saw in Sheridan Circle [in front of the Turkish Ambassador’s residence]. … We all saw the violence that was perpetrated against peaceful protesters, and it’s not something that we’re going to tolerate.”

At a press conference on Thursday the police read out the names of the suspects, who were identified, with the help of the State Department, by matching surveillance video from the altercation to entry visas and passports. All are charged with various degrees of assault.

Following are the 12 people wanted by the DC Metropolitan Police Department in relation to the attack on protesters in May:

In related news on Wednesday, two Turkish men resident in the United States were arrested by US Marshals for their role in the beating of protesters, according to a report by The Daily Caller.

Speaking during an iftar dinner on Thursday night at the Presidential Palace in Ankara, Erdoğan slammed the US decision to issue arrest warrants for his bodyguards and said he would initiate a political and legal battle against the arrest warrants for his security personnel.

“They have issued arrest warrants for my security detail. What kind of a law is this, what kind of a judiciary is this? We will have political and legal struggle [against the decision],” he said.

On Friday, US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has said there will be no tolerance for those using intimidation and violence to suppress freedom of expression over an arrest decision issued for the bodyguards of Erdoğan.

The demonstrators had gathered to protest the policies of Erdoğan, who was in the capital for a meeting with US President Donald Trump. When Erdoğan later arrived at the ambassadorial residence, his security detail, along with supporters of the Turkish president, was captured in video footage brutally attacking the group of demonstrators. Nine people were injured in the melee.

Erdoğan was also seen in the footage watching his bodyguards assault the protesters.

The Turkish Embassy at the time claimed that Erdoğan’s bodyguards were acting in self-defense and that the protesters were affiliated with the terrorist Kurdistan Workers’ Party, allegations denied by the demonstrators. (turkishminute.com) June 18, 2017

isis claims attackThe Islamic State group claimed its first attacks in Iran on Wednesday, June 7 as gunmen and suicide bombers killed at least five people in twin assaults on parliament and the tomb of the country’s revolutionary founder in Tehran, AFP reports.

Dozens of people were also wounded in the attacks, with continuing gunfire several hours after they began.

A security guard and one other person were killed when four gunmen burst into Tehran’s parliament complex with rifles and a pistol, according to the ISNA news agency.

One of the attackers blew himself up on the fourth floor of the parliament office building as a standoff with police continued for several hours.

In the coordinated mid-morning attack, a gardener was reported dead and several more injured when armed assailants entered the grounds of Ruhollah Khomeini mausoleum in the south of the city.

Two attackers — at least one female — blew themselves up outside the shrine, according to local media.

Iran’s emergency services said they were dealing with 33 injured from the attacks and that two people had died from their injuries in hospital.

IS claimed the attacks in a report from its Amaq propaganda agency which said: “Fighters from the Islamic State attacked the Khomeini mausoleum and the parliament building in Tehran.”

It also claimed two suicide bombers had blown themselves up at the shrine.

Parliament was in session as the attacks unfolded, with live footage showing members continuing with routine business even as gun battles were reported in surrounding office buildings and snipers took position on nearby rooftops.

Speaker Ali Larijani dismissed the attacks, saying they were a “trivial matter” and that security forces were dealing with them.

Intensified gunfire was heard from the neighbouring offices as Fars news agency reported police had launched an assault. A picture on social media showed police helping staff escape through windows.

10 dead, including 3 attackers 48 wounded after terror attack in London Bridge

June 4, 2017 By administrator

London AttackA terrorist attack at two sites in central London has left at least ten people dead, including three attackers, London police have confirmed.

The attack took place late Saturday night when a white van veered off the road and mowed down pedestrians on London Bridge.

The drivers then got off the vehicle and began stabbing people with large knives in the Borough Market area of bars and restaurants.

“Armed response officers then responded very quickly and bravely and confronted the three male suspects who were shot and killed on Borough Market,” Mark Rowley, Britain’s top anti-terrorism officer, said following the attack.

“The suspects had been confronted and shot by police within eight minutes of the first call. The suspects were wearing what looked like explosive vests but these were later established to be hoaxes,” he added.

According to the commissioner of London’s Metropolitan police, at least 7 people were killed in the attack.

“It has now been confirmed sadly that seven members of the public have died,” Cressida Dick told reporters on Sunday.

She also said that the situation was under control, adding, “but large police cordon still in place.”

Dick went on to say that police patrols will be increased in London, including those conducted by armed officers.

According to London Ambulance Service, 48 people were taken to hospital for treatment and a number of other patients were treated for less serious injuries in the center of the city.

Among the wounded there are at least 6 foreign nationals.

Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull confirmed that two Australian citizens “have been directly impacted.”

Also, French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian said that four French citizens were injured, one seriously.

Following the attack British Prime Minister Theresa May confirmed that “the terrible incident in London is being treated as a potential act of terrorism.”

Later on Sunday, May called for a tougher stance at home against extremists, urging tougher controls on cyberspace to prevent use by terrorists.

She also said Britain’s main political parties suspended campaigning Sunday, but added that the campaigns will resume on Monday and that the general election will be held on Thursday as planned.

Did the Turkish President’s Security Detail Attack Protesters in Washington? What the Video Shows

May 26, 2017 By administrator

Erdogan criBy MALACHY BROWNE, CHRIS CIRILLO, TROY GRIGGS, JOSH KELLER and NATALIE RENEAU MAY 26, 2017

The New York Times reviewed videos and photos to track the actions of 24 men, including armed members of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s security detail, who attacked protesters in Washington last week. Many of the protesters were American citizens.

The men kicked people lying on the ground and put a woman in a chokehold just a mile from the White House. They outnumbered the protesters nearly two to one.

The State Department has condemned the episode, and some American lawmakers have called for the men to be prosecuted. But none have been charged with a crime. Here’s what video of the main actors shows about the identities of the men and the roles they played in the clash.

Ten of the men who attacked protesters appear to be part of a formal security detail. They dressed in dark suits, and they wore in-ear radio receivers, Turkish breast pins and lanyards with identification cards. At least four of the men carried guns.

Two of these men charged protesters and appeared to start the main part of the fight.

We used five camera angles to track the movements of these two men throughout the melee. One man’s identity card shows Turkish and American flags and Turkey’s presidential seal, suggesting he is a member of the delegation visiting the United States.

Erdogan supporters attack peaceful Armenian protesters in Washington

May 17, 2017 By administrator

A group of peaceful demonstrators protesting Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s official visit to the United States, were attacked by pro-Erdogan groups at the Sheridan Circle near the residence of the Turkish Ambassador to the U.S, The Armenian Weekly reports.

“[This was] the type of violence you would never expect to see in America’s capital. It was the type of violence you’d expect to see in Erdogan’s Turkey and in other dictatorships,” said Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) Executive Director Aram Hamparian, who captured parts of the attack and streamed the aftermath live on the ANCA’s Facebook page. “This is the very type of intolerance that has come to predominate in Turkey and it has now been exported here,” he added.

The demonstration, which began at Lafayette Square at noon, was organized by a coalition of organizations, including the Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) and the American Hellenic Council. Several different groups, which included representatives from the Armenian, Greek, Kurdish, and Assyrian communities, participated in the protest, while President Erdogan met with U.S. President Donald Trump a the White House.

“This is exactly the type of violence you see in Ankara and they are exporting it here. It’s one thing for the Turkish government to do that to its own citizens—[which is] a terrible thing. It is another thing for us, as Americans, to see that exported to the United States,” Hamparian said.

Erdogan’s security detail reportedly attacked protesters carrying the flag of the Kurdish PYD party outside the ambassador’s residence.

The government of Turkey believes that the Kurdish Peoples’ Protection Units (YPG) in Syria are simply the Syrian arm of the PKK, which has waged a deadly insurgency inside Turkey since 1984.

Putin says Russia not responsible for recent global cyber attack

May 15, 2017 By administrator

global cyber attack

global cyber attack

Russian President Vladimir Putin has stressed that his country had nothing to do with the recent global “ransomware” cyber attack that targeted some 150 countries over the weekend.

“Microsoft’s management has made it clear that the virus originated from US intelligence services,” said Putin while addressing reporters in the Chinese capital Beijing on Monday.

Earlier, Microsoft President Brad Smith noted that US intelligence agencies, such as the CIA and National Security Agency (NSA), were to blame for the attack because they stockpiled malicious software code which was used by the hackers.

The NSA claims the software used in the attacks had been stolen from it.

“Once they’re let out of the lamp, genies of this kind … can do damage to their authors and creators,” said Putin. “So this question should be discussed immediately on a serious political level and a defense needs to be worked out from such phenomena,” he added.

Putin went on to stress that Russian institutions were not significantly affected in the attacks.

The Russian president also noted that last year Moscow had called on the US to engage in negotiations about dealing with cyber threats. “Unfortunately, they refused our proposal,” he said.

“The previous administration told us they were interested in reaching back to this proposal again, but nothing was actually done,” he added. On Friday, hundreds of thousands of computer systems across the world were targeted in a cyber attack.

When the ransomware virus infects a computer system, data on that system get encrypted, and images appear on monitors demanding a payment of $300 in the almost untraceable virtual currency Bitcoin.

The payment must be made within three days, otherwise the price would be doubled; and if none is received within seven days, the locked files will be deleted, according to the screen messages.
