Iraqi Star architect Zaha Hadid dies

Zaha Hadid has died of a heart attack. The Iraqi-British star architect was known for her radical deconstructivist designs.

The Internationally renowned architect, whose designs included the London Aquatics Centre used in the 2012 London Summer Olympics, has died, aged 65, her company said on Thursday, March 31.

“It is with great sadness that Zaha Hadid Architects have confirmed that Dame Zaha Hadid died suddenly in Miami in the early hours of this morning,” the company said in a statement.

“She had contracted bronchitis earlier this week and suffered a sudden heart attack while being treated in hospital.”

Messages of condolence have started pouring in online, with Hadid trending heavily on social media.

Hadid wanted ‘to make buildings fly’

Hadid’s projects included the MAXXI museum in Rome, the Heydar Aliyev Center in Baku, and a condominium along Manhattan’s High Line park. Her light and airy style were celebrated around the world. She was one of the most recognized architects of our time.

Dame Zaha Hadid was born in 9150 in Baghdad and became the first woman to be awarded the Pritzker Architecture Prize in 2004. She studied mathematics at American University in Beirut, and later traveled to London to study at the Architectural Association.

In 1979, Hadid established her own London-based firm and gained international recognition in 1983 with a competition-winning entry – a “horizontal skyscraper” – for The Peak, a leisure and recreational center in Hong Kong. The design for The Peak was never realized, and neither were most of her other radical designs in the 1980s and early 1990s.

Still, much of her work can be found all around the world with several of her designs being featured in the UK, the US, Germany and elsewhere in Europe.

Video Warmonger: Hillary Clinton Architect of Libya-Syria war & Madeleine Albright Serbian war Architect

February 7, 2016 By administrator

Two Secretary of State two Warmonger Hillary Clinton and Madeleine Albright

WATCH: Here’s what Bernie Sanders told NBC’s Kate Snow about Secretary of State Madeleine Albright’s comments that

“there is a special place in hell for women who don’t support each other. and is the same woman who said

500,000 Iraqi children dead from sanctions was “worth it”. A few months later she was confirmed by the US Senate as Secretary of State and nobody even questioned her about this statement.

A prominent economics professor and political thinker has penned an article in which he calls Clinton a “war candidate” in the pocket of the military industrial complex.

Jeffrey Sachs, a world-renowned professor of economics, has authored a column in which he attacks presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton for her ties to the military industrial complex. Sachs, a senior UN advisor, bestselling author, and syndicated columnist, said Clinton’s decisions as Senator and as Secretary of State have put the US in danger and led to an unending state of conflict.

“The idea that she is bad on the corporate issues but good on national security has it wrong,” Sachs writes. “Her so-called foreign policy “experience” has been to support every war demanded by the US deep security state run by the military and the CIA.”

Sachs goes back to the administration of Bill Clinton, noting that the Clintons both have accepted money from both Wall Street and weapons contractors who have an interest in the US taking an active role in conflict around the world.

“Just as the last Clinton presidency set the stage for financial collapse, it also set the stage for unending war. On October 31, 1998 President Clinton signed the Iraq Liberation Act that made it official US policy to support ‘regime change” in Iraq,” Sachs explains.

Sachs points out that, later in 2003, Hillary voted for war with Iraq in the US Senate, a war which many now criticize for having destabilized the region and helping push the US to financial collapse.

Going forward in time, Sachs calls Clinton’s “record as Secretary of State is among the most militaristic, and disastrous, of modern US history.”

“Hilary was a staunch defender of the military-industrial-intelligence complex at every turn, helping to spread the Iraq mayhem over a swath of violence that now stretches from Mali to Afghanistan. Two disasters loom largest: Libya and Syria.”

Sachs places a lot of blame on Clinton for the crisis in Syria.

“Perhaps the crowning disaster of this long list of disasters has been Hillary’s relentless promotion of CIA-led regime change in Syria,” he writes. “Once again Hillary bought into the CIA propaganda that regime change to remove Bashir al-Assad would be quick, costless, and surely successful.”

He also charges Clinton with fostering the current situation between the US and Russia by

“Hillary’s support at every turn for NATO expansion, including even into Ukraine and Georgia against all common sense, was a trip wire that violated the post-Cold War settlement in Europe in 1991,” Sachs says. “As Senator in 2008, Hillary co-sponsored 2008-SR439, to include Ukraine and Georgia in NATO. As Secretary of State, she then presided over the restart of the Cold War with Russia.”

London-based Mossessian Architecture, which is founded by renowned French Armenian architect Michel Mossessian, has won a competition to design the Makkah Museum, a new building dedicated to the Islamic faith in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, according to Dezeen architecture and design magazine.

Muslims around the world await the construction of this museum.

The Makkah Museum will occupy a site 7 kilometers from the Grand Mosque of Mecca, and symbolize the birth of Islam.

The building will include 5,600 square meters of gallery space for 3D exhibitions, and also contain a virtual mosque, reception area, an auditorium, book store, teaching space, roof garden, and restaurant.

The outside wall of the museum will incorporate stone sourced from every country in the world where Islam is currently practiced.

Davutoglu is the pan-Islamism Architect , however Erdogan is just a barking doge

August 28, 2015 By administrator

davutoglu-ErdoganDavutoglu: He crystallized these ideas in the book ‘Strategic Depth,’ in 2001, a year before the Justice and Development Party, or A.K.P., came to power. In the book, he defined Turkey as a nation that does not study history, but writes it — a nation that is not at the periphery of the West, but at the center of Islamic civilization … Mr. Davutoglu saw himself as a grand theorist at the helm of his country as it navigated what he called the ‘river of history.’ He and his country were not mere pawns in world politics, but the players who moved the pieces.

But, ironically, he bases his pan-Islamist vision on the political theories that were used to legitimize Western imperial expansion prior to 1945. While purporting to offer Turkey a new foreign policy for the 21st century, his magnum opus draws on the outdated concepts of geopolitical thinkers like the American Alfred Thayer Mahan, the Briton Halford Mackinder and the German Karl Haushofer, who popularized the term “Lebensraum,” or living space, a phrase most famously employed by Germany during the 1920s and 1930s to emphasize the need to expand its borders.

According to Mr. Davutoglu, the nation states established after the breakup of the Ottoman Empire are artificial creations and Turkey must now carve out its own Lebensraum — a phrase he uses unapologetically. Doing so would bring about the cultural and economic integration of the Islamic world, which Turkey would eventually lead. Turkey must either establish economic hegemony over the Caucasus, the Balkans and the Middle East, or remain a conflict-riven nation-state that risks falling apart.

After becoming Turkey’s foreign minister from 2009, Davutoğlu had the opportunity to put these ideas into practice – with disastrous results:

As foreign minister, Mr. Davutoglu fervently believed that the Arab Spring had finally provided Turkey with a historic opportunity to put these ideas into practice. He predicted that the overthrown dictatorships would be replaced with Islamic regimes, thus creating a regional ‘Muslim Brotherhood belt’ under Turkey’s leadership.
