President of the USA Donald Trump has sent a congratulatory message to Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan on the occasion of Independence Day.

As ARMENPRESS was informed from the official website of the Prime Minister of Armenia, the letter runs as follows,

“Honorable Mr. Prime Minister,

On behalf of the people of the USA I congratulate you and the people of Armenia on the occasion of the 27th anniversary of independence.

This year Armenia has various reasons for celebration. We thank you for your resolve partnership on various platforms, particularly your participation in NATO activities and for generously accepting Syrian refugees.

In the upcoming months opportunities will emerge for the settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict, which can open new opportunities for the Armenian-American partnership. As a member of the OSCE Minsk Group, the USA is ready to work with you for finding a lasting and peaceful settlement to the conflict.

This year also marks the 100th anniversary of the first Armenian republic and the centennial of Armenian-American friendship. Russia’s Putin congratulates Nikol Pashinyan on taking office as Armenia’s PM

May 8, 2018 By administrator

YEREVAN, MAY 8, ARMENPRESS. Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Nikol Pashinyan on assuming office as Armenia’s Prime Minister, the Kremlin press service said, TASS reports.

“I hope that your performance as the head of government will contribute to efforts to further strengthen friendly, allied relations between our countries, partnership within the Commonwealth of Independent States, the Eurasian Economic Union and the Collective Security Treaty Organization,” Putin said in his congratulatory letter.

Armenian lawmakers elected Nikol Pashinyan as Prime Minister of Armenia on May 8.

59 MPs voted in favor, 42 voted against.

The extraordinary sitting of the Armenian parliament kicked off 12:00 with 100 MPs in attendance for the second round of vote to elect a Prime Minister. Nikol Pashinyan, the opposition leader who spearheaded the recent nationwide demonstrations, was the only candidate for the position, just like during the first round on May 1.

Two other factions in addition to Pashinyan’s Yelk have endorsed the opposition leader’s candidacy – the ARF and the Tsarukyan.

Pashinyan needed at least 53 votes in the 105-seat unicameral parliament to be named Prime Minister.

As required by the Constitution, a new government must be formed within 15 days after electing a Prime Minister.

Medvedev congratulates Serzh Sargsyan on being appointed prime minister

April 19, 2018 By administrator

Serzh Sartgsyan has received congratulations from his Russian counterpart on being appointed the prime minister of Armenia.

In his official address, Dmitry Medvedev appreciated particularly the former president’s personal contribution to the development of the Armenian-Russian partnership and alliance, expressing hope the bilateral relations will see a further progress during current tenure, reports the news agency TASS.

“I am confident that in your new position [as Prime Minister], you will keep the bilateral cooperation, joint long-ranging prospects and initiatives, and the deepening of partnership within the Eurasian Economic Union under spotlight,” reads the Russian official’s message.

Medvedev also stated that such a policy – pursued over the 10 years of Sargsyan’s presidency – “is in the two countries’ mutual interests”.

Sargsyan, who completed his second term of presidency earlier this month, received the parliamentary majority’s support at Tuesday’s special session to become the first prime minister of the parliamentary republic.

The constitutional transition from the semi-presidential to the parliamentary model, gives sweeping powers to the prime minister of Armenia, essentially restricting the president’s authority.

Saudi king congratulates US for attacking Syria with missiles

April 8, 2017 By administrator

Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has called US President Donald Trump to praise in person Washington’s recent missile strike against a Syrian army air base.

During the phone conversation on Friday, King Salman congratulated US President Donald for what was said to be his “courageous decision,” the official Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

Meanwhile, a Saudi Foreign Ministry official told the SPA that the kingdom “fully supports the US military operations against military targets in Syria.”

Trump’s missile launch was the right response to the Syrian government as the international community has failed to put a halt to Damascus’ actions, the official further claimed.

Early on Friday, US warships in the Mediterranean launched a barrage of 59 Tomahawk missiles against Shayrat Airfield in Syria’s Homs Province. Damascus denounced the US assault as a “blatant aggression” that killed up to 15 people, including civilians, and caused “significant material damage.”

Saudi Arabia was among the first parties to speak out in praise of the Friday attack, expressing full support for the American military strike.

Riyadh, which has long pushed for the ouster of the Syrian government, stands accused of supporting anti-Damascus Takfiri groups both ideologically and materially.

Takfirism, which is a characteristic of many terrorist groups operating in the region, is largely influenced by Wahhabism, the radical ideology dominating Saudi Arabia.

The kingdom is a member of the US-led coalition, which has been conducting air raids against what are said to be Daesh terrorists inside Syria since September 2014 without any authorization from Damascus or a UN mandate.

Last February, Saudi Arabia offered for the first time to send ground troops to Syria to fight Daesh.

“The kingdom is ready to participate in any ground operations that the coalition (against Isis) may agree to carry out in Syria,” said military spokesman Brigadier General Ahmed al-Asiri in an interview with al-Arabiya TV news.

The Saudi bid was a source of tensions with former US president Barack Obama.

January 24, 2017 By administrator

She’s the head of the world-famous Kardashian and Jenner and a successful business woman.

Speaking of the politician’s Armenian heritage – with the Kardashians being of the same descent – Kris gushed: ‘Armenian women are beautiful, smart, very savvy, and I think she’ll make really good decisions, very quick.

Look a sheer delight like Kris in Zuhair Murad

Kris Jenner arrived at the Angel Ball in New York City this week ready to make a speech at the event that was honoring her late ex husband Robert.

At a red carpet do such as this you of course put on a glamorous display and Kris certainly ticked all the boxes in this black number.

The dress was heavily patterned with velvet and sheer inserts and while it flashed a small amount of flesh, the long sleeves, high neck and floor length kept it super elegant.

The piece actually came from the Zuhair Murad pre-fall 2014 collection so it is quite a few seasons old, but a gown like this will never go off trend.

If you want to shop the current Zuhair Murad line, click right to head to FWRD, or why not select your own chic sheer number from the line up of dresses below?
