YEREVAN. – Armenia on Monday marks Aviation Day and the 25th anniversary of the country’s air force.
On this occasion, a celebratory event was held at Erebuni Airport in capital city Yerevan
In his remarks, Defense Minister Vigen Sargsyan welcomed the guests of the event, and stressed the importance of military aviation in the protection of the airspace of Armenia.
After the remarks and an award ceremony, the guests got familiarized with the military aviation equipment of Armenia, and the equipment of the Russian airbase in Erebuni Airport.
Subsequently, an air show took place.

YEREVAN. – Senior officials of Armenia and the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR/Artsakh) on Saturday paid a visit to Yerablur Military Pantheon in Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia


On the 25th anniversary of Independence, the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute has opened a temporary exhibition titled “From Genocide to Restoration of Independence” which features rare historical flags and coats of arms dating back to 18th-20th centuries, the years of the Armenian national liberation struggle.
Solemn awarding ceremony took place on September 15 at the Artsakh Republic President’s residence in connection with the 25th anniversary of the NKR proclamation, information department of Artsakh President’s Office reported.
Artur Boghosyan the Armenian Deputy Minister of Culture said that Yerevan and in the regions close to 300 different events are scheduled for the 25th anniversary of independence of the Republic of Armenia.
Armenia is 25th, from among 117 countries, in terms of it being a safe country.
