With the support of the Ministry of Culture and at the initiative of the youth culture NGO “Tsiranapogh” September 24-25 of this year Gyumri will host the International Rock Festival “Gyumri RockFest -2016” dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Armenia’s Independence, information and public relations department of the ministry informs.

This program is one of the winning projects of the contest to host musical and theatrical events, exhibitions, films and other cultural programs to mark the 25th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Armenia.

Rock Festival, which is being implemented in the framework of the “Day of Gyumri” is an unprecedented event in the cultural annals of the second city of the republic: Gyumri for the first time will receive about ten influential Armenian and foreign rock bands.

Festival Gala Concert will be held on September 25 at 17:00 at “Sev Berd” (Black Fortress) of Gyumri. The concert will be preceded by a variety of activities in different parts of the city by groups of participating in the festival.
