YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Ambassador to the Holy See, Mikayel Minasyan, on Wednesday was granted the Knight Grand Cross of the Order of Pius IX by Pope Francis.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that during the respective ceremony, which was held on the same day at the Apostolic Palace—the official residence of the Pope—in Vatican City, Archbishop Giovanni Angelo Becciu, the current Substitute of the Secretariat of State of the Holy See, handed the Knight Grand Cross of the Order of Pius IX Medal to Ambassador Minasyan.
The Pope’s respective pastoral letter notes that Mikayel Minasyan has merited this Pontifical order as an outstanding proof of officially attesting to the Holy See’s benevolence toward him.
