Kuwait imposes visa ban on five Muslim-majority nations, including Pakistan

February 2, 2017 By administrator

“The Kuwaiti Government has asked would-be migrants from the five banned nations not to apply for visas, as Kuwait City is worried about the possible migration of radical Islamic terrorists.”

But the U.S. is not allowed to have a similar concern. That would be racist! Islamophobic! Hateful!

This action by the Kuwaiti government neatly reveals the absurdity of such objections.

“Kuwait imposes visa ban on five Muslim-majority nations including Pak,” ANI, February 2, 2017:

Following the Muslim ban in the U.S., Kuwait has now suspended the issuance of visas for travellers native to Syria, Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iran.

Tourism, trade, and visitor visas from the above mentioned nations have been restricted following an order from the Kuwaiti Government to slap a “blanket ban” on possible migrants, according to Sputnik News.

How do Kuwait Armenians celebrate New Year?

January 1, 2016 By administrator

Kuwait-ArmeniantAuthor: Aida Hovhannisyan

In the night of January 1, the Armenian community of Kuwait organizes a dance festival. The New Year festivities are celebrated according to the traditions of the Middle East. Representative of Kuwait’s Armenian community and teacher of Armenian, Maral Amboyan, who has been living in that country for already 11 years, told the aforementioned to Armenian News – NEWS.am.

“Armenian college and church operate in Kuwait. On December 30, our pupils have to attend the church, and then a big festival is held in the educational institution. And on December 31, a dance festival is held, which is attended by actually all Armenians of Kuwait. We prepare eastern dishes by all means. [Then] We come together and enjoy ourselves,” Amboyan said.

According to her, there are also Armenians who don’t attend the festival, preferring to celebrate New Year with their family, although the majority still joins the joyful festivity. “Our community is very friendly. We celebrate all the holidays together, and each Friday we must attend the Armenian church,” she said.

About 4,000 Armenians live in Kuwait. Most of them are mainly craftsmen, but the country also has famous jewelers of Armenian descent. But, apart from this, in Amboyan’s words, some Armenians there hold quite high offices.

ISIL Militant Admits to Buying Arms in Ukraine, Sending to Syria Via Turkey

November 20, 2015 By administrator

1030444279Kuwaiti security forces have uncovered an international cell that supplied the Islamic State terrorist group with Chinese-made weapons purchased in Ukraine, funds and new recruits, US media reported on Friday.

Six members of the group were arrested but four others are still at large, AP reported, citing Interior Ministry officials in Kuwait City.

The leader of the group, 45-year-old Lebanese national Osama Khayat, was detained first and disclosed information about the rest of the members during interrogation, the ministry said in a statement.

According to the information provided by Khayat, the cell was involved in making arms deals on behalf of the Islamic State leaders in Syria, including buying FN-6 portable air defense systems and other weaponry, which were shipped to ISIL in Syria through Turkey.

During questioning, Khayat also admitted to transferring money to Turkish bank accounts as well as spreading ISIL propaganda online to get new recruits.

Besides the Lebanese mastermind, Kuwaiti authorities arrested three Syrians, an Egyptian and a Kuwaiti and said four others — two Syrians and two Australians of Lebanese origin — were outside the country.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry denied that it had sold Chinese-made FN6 portable air defense systems to the Islamic State.

“We cannot sell or resell or make any deals concerning weapons. We are not a business entity and we do not have such weapons,” spokeswoman Viktoria Kushnir told RIA Novosti.

KSA, Qatar, Kuwait oil wheels of terror: Fmr. UK secy. David Blunkett

November 17, 2014 By administrator

presstv Britain’s former Home Secretary David Blunkett

Home-Secretary-David-BlunkettBritain’s former Home Secretary David Blunkett has accused Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait of “oiling the wheels of terror” around the world.

Blunkett has written in the Sunday Telegraph that the money made through the sale of crude in the oil-rich Persian Gulf Arab kingdoms is being used to purchase arms and communication facilities for the terrorist group of ISIL.

“They cannot parade on the international scene their desire to assist in taking on the global threat from extremism but then condone, in their own back yard, those providing the means to carry through that deadly intent,” he wrote.

The former Home Secretary believes the Arab monarchies must take action against their citizens involved in such funding.

Now the publisher and editor of the UK-based magazine, Politics First, Dr. Marcus Papadopoulos says: “Britain does have a very important role to play in exposing to the international community the role those countries (Saudi Arabia, Qatar & Kuwait) are playing in exporting and encouraging religious terrorism.”

But he notes that “the Americans, the British and the French together with the Saudis and the Qataris and the Kuwaitis weakened the Syrian government” to create terrorists groups such as ISIL.

“The whole irony of the West’s position on Syria is that it actually has created the bloody turmoil that we see in Syria today,” he added.

Dr. Papadopoulos went on to say that “Saudi Arabia in particular hasn’t just started supporting religious extremist groups in the last few years in Syria, for the last 30 years, it has been the leading exporter of religious extremism to the world.”

Riyadh and Doha officially reject any nexus with Takfiri groups. But the two Arab states are accused of using their vast oil wealth to support and promote the Takfiri ideology.
