MP Mohammad Esmayil Sayidi of Iranian Majlis: Presidential post in Azerbaijan is hereditary, elections – protocol
“People in Azerbaijan would choose a better candidate if there is freedom there,” Iranian MP Mohammad Esmayil Sayidi told the Anaj news agency of Iran in an interview.
The Iranian MP touched upon the presidential elections to be held on October 9 in Azerbaijan and said, “The elections in Azerbaijan are a protocol and the presidential post is hereditary. Ilham Aliyev will continuously be on the post of Heydar Aliyev. People in Azerbaijan would choose a better candidate if there is freedom in the country.”
Touching upon the issue of the political prisoners Esmail Sayidi has noted, “I know most of the political prisoners personally and they are innocent I should say, their only fault is that they have opposed the policy of Ilham Aliyev. They haven’t endangered the Azerbaijani security. Every Muslim has the right to freely express his opinion on the value system.”

Armenia to export drones to Denmark
PanARMENIAN.Net – Armenia will be exporting unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) to Denmark, the Executive Director of the Union of Information Technology Enterprises (UITE) said.
According to Karen Vardanyan, the winner of the unmanned aircraft competition has registered an enterprise to manufacture commercial drones.
A preliminary agreement stipulates for a monthly production of 10 drones, he noted. The device will be used for agronomic research and cultivation area surveys.
“This is a major step for Armenia to allow the country to enter the international drone market as well as find foreign partners to promote the sector,” Vardanyan said, adding that the drone can also be used for defense purposes as well as to facilitate highway police work.
Krunk is an Armenian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) in service with the Armed Forces of Armenia. It is intended for close reconnaissance, transmitting real-time video data (visual or infrared) or taking higher resolution still images.
The Krunk was first demonstrated on September 21, 2011 during a military parade dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the independence of Armenia.
There are currently 15 Krunk UAVs in the Armenian Armed Forces.
Shutdown Spectacle: ‘America Is Already Politically Bankrupt’ Charly Wilder
As the United States government shutdown enters its second day, Washington is the target of both ridicule and concern overseas. German commentators describe the situation as a “specifically American problem” with far-reaching consequences.
The illustration on the cover of German business daily Handelsblatt on Wednesday morning fairly well encapsulates the way the US federal government shutdown is being perceived across the Atlantic. The Statue of Liberty stands bound in chains, her torch hand hanging listlessly by her side. Across it reads the headline: “The Blocked World Power.”
ANZEIGE
Many Germans have found it hard to understand American lawmakers’ inability to resolve their budget disagreements in time to prevent a shutdown of all nonessential government services, which went into effect at midnight on Monday night. “What Washington currently offers up is a spectacle, but one in which the spectators feel more like crying,” writes the conservative daily Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.”Because Republicans and Democrats, House and Senate, Congress and president could not agree on a stop-gap budget, hundreds of thousands of federal employees were sent on involuntary leave and many agencies were forced to shut down,” continues the editorial. “The main actors in this dispute, which brings together many factors, both ideological and political, took a huge risk and, unhindered, proceeded to validate everyone who ever accused the political establishment in Washington of being rotten to the core — by driving the world power into a budgetary state of emergency. The public is left wondering how things could have been allowed to get to this point and why there is so much poison in the system.”
Elsewhere, German commentators asked whether a similar government shutdown could happen in Berlin, where Chancellor Angela Merkel is currently embroiled in drawn-out talks over Germany’s federal budget between her conservatives and their probable coalition partner, the center-left Social Democrats. “The American situation is not at all comparable with the Germans,” Professor Henrik Enderlein, a Berlin-based expert on political economy, assured news agency DPA on Wednesday. The article went on to characterize the shutdown as a “specifically American problem,” a sentiment echoed by other media outlets.
Yet it was clear to many that the fallout would be far-reaching. “The whole world pays for America’s shutdown,” reads a headline in the right-leaning daily Die Welt above an article about the consequences on the German economy. In the article, several prominent German economists registered disapproval. “If the Americans shoot themselves in the foot right now, it is highly dangerous for the entire global economy, and of course for the German export economy,” warned Anton Böner, president of the Federal Association for German Wholesalers and Foreign Trade.
The ‘Kamikaze Party’
The overwhelming consensus among the German press is that the Republicans are the most to blame for the gridlock. In a Tuesday commentary, SPIEGEL ONLINE’s Gregor Peter Schmitz dubbed them the “kamikaze party.” He attributed the gridlock to America’s mercenary political culture — where directly elected lawmakers run for re-election every two years and campaigns are privately financed — as well as to the lack of party infrastructure compared to Germany’s parliamentary model with its publicly funded campaigns.
“It’s circumstances like these,” writes Schmitz, “that explain why a brigade of Republicans conduct themselves like a bunch of Berlusconis — as enemies of the state from within who want to cripple the country because that’s the desire of their conservative voters at home.”
When it came to the Tea Party wing of the Republican Party, the German press was not pulling any punches. “There are fundamentalists within the world’s largest democracy: The hardline wing of the Republican Party are once more crippling the United States,” writes Nuremberg’s Nachrichten. The Tea Party movement, it concludes, “does not engage in democracy, but in dogmatism.”
“Here are fundamentalists at work who hold up their country to ridicule to advance their pure doctrine,” wrote a commentator in Collogne’s Stadt-Anzeiger. “What a tragedy!”
‘Self-Destruction’ of a Democracy
Munich’s national Süddeutsche Zeitung offers a slightly more depressing take, pointing blame at all sides. “What has already been apparent in America for a few years now is the self-destruction of one of the world’s oldest democracies. And the great tragedy here is that this work of destruction isn’t being wrought by enemies of democracy, greedy lobbyists or sinister major party donors. America’s democracy is bring broken by the very people who are supposed to be carry and preserve it: the voters, the parties and the politicians.”
The argument? The Republicans who have brought Washington to stillstand are repeatedly and democratically elected by voters and given a mandate to block. The parties themselves are fomenting an increasingly radicalized culture that deepens political, societal and geographic divisions in the country, argues the newspaper. And finally, there are few politicians in America who are willing or capable of thinking beyond their own electoral constituencies.
“At the moment, Washington is fighting over the budget and nobody knows if the county will still be solvent in three weeks,” the paper concludes. “What is clear, though, is that America is already politically bankrupt.”

UK Islamic school shut down after accusations of strict religious practices
A school in central England has been closed following controversy over its harsh Islamic line and a subsequent assessment by Government inspectors. It has been under intense scrutiny in recent weeks for its treatment of female students and teachers.
A spokesperson for Ofsted, the schools watchdog, told RT: “We can confirm that Ofsted is currently undertaking a two-day inspection of the Al-Madinah School in Derby.” The BBC has reported that it ‘understands’ findings were “so damning” that the head was forced to immediately shut it down.
The school had previously caused a media sensation in the UK after it was alleged that it enforced segregation by gender, meaning girls were forced to sit at the back of the classrooms. It also reportedly forced female members of staff – including non-Muslims- to wear the hijab.
The acting headmaster of Al-Madinah in Derby was prompted to shut the school without delay as the Ofsted assessment was underway, posting a message on the school’s website:
“Owing to a health and safety issues, I have taken the decision to close the school to primary and secondary pupils until I am confident that all children are safe on site,” said acting Principal Dr. Stuart Wilson.
“As parents, you will be informed directly, and on the website, when you are able to send your children back to school. I expect this to be in the very near future.”
Parents have been gathering outside the school demanding answers.
“Yesterday, I received a one-line letter telling me the school would be closed but not giving any reasons,” Ali Mohammed, who has a six year old daughter at the school, told the Derby Telegraph. “I’ve come down here to ask some questions. I want to know what is going on and, if there are health and safety issues, then I’m very concerned,” he said.
The school, which opened in September 2012, had already been placed under investigation by the Education Funding Agency; as a free school, Al Madinah is eligible for public, central government-funding from the agency, while also being required to enter its pupils for standardized public examinations, for example GCSEs – a nationwide exam taken at the age of 16.
Al-Madinah was already on the Department of Education’s radar prior to the Ofsted investigation. “The Department for Education said it discussed the school with Ofsted before we undertook the inspection,” a spokesperson for the watchdog told RT.
Teachers have recently been coming forward over the harsh restrictions placed on their attire whilst tutoring in the classroom. Female teachers have faced particularly harsh victimization, with one recently quitting amidst a row over her dress.
A male colleague looked her up and down and told her that she had failed to observe ‘common decency,’ according to Britain’s Daily Mail.
“If I had known that it was compulsory for non-Muslim women staff [to cover up] before I started the job, I would never have accepted the post,” the anonymous teacher said.
Sue Arguile, of the National Union of Teachers, said that “Free schools set their own rules – but forcing people to agree to contractual changes could breach employment law.”
The Education Funding Agency has also been investigating alleged financial irregularities, according to the BBC.
The wearing of the hijab has been an ongoing source of controversy in the UK, with even Cameron voicing his support for a ban on wearing full veils in UK schools. “In a school, it’s very difficult to teach unless you can look at your pupils in the eye,” UK Prime Minister David Cameron told the BBC’s Andrew Marr Show on Sunday.
The niqab face veil is currently banned in France and Belgium, and debate was sparked last month following the dropping of a ban at the West-Midlands based Birmingham Metropolitan College amid protests.
Gunmen attack Russian embassy in Libya’s Tripoli
The Russian embassy in Tripoli, Libya, has come under fire and there were attempts to get into Russia’s diplomatic compound, Russia’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
“There has been an incident in Tripoli tonight, in which there was shelling and attempts to enter the territory of the Russian Embassy in this country,” Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Aleksandr Lukashevich told RT.
According to preliminary information, there are no reports of injuries among the staff.
The ITAR-TASS news agency’s witnesses said attackers tore down a Russian flag. The situation was soon brought under control and there are currently no intruders on Russia’s embassy territory.
According to reports, around 10 attackers drove to the embassy in two cars. Libyan News Agency (LANA) reports that they first opened fire on a parked diplomatic vehicle.
A video still from Ruptly’s exclusive footage shows a car burning in an almost deserted street outside the embassy.
IRAQ Basra: Varoujan Krikor experience and dedication to Maritime Transport

Family enamel reasonableness
Born grand master Varoujan Krikor Khagiuaan on the thirteenth day of the month of September 1936 in the stronghold , and specifically the role of the rail , his father was a Directorate rail boycotted the docks stronghold , and was responsible for loading and unloading train cars goods imported and exported in the period which they were not ground vehicles with this avalanche , this was not large absorptive capacity . .
Varoujan youngster joined the Armenian school Primary mixed Palmakl , then studied at medium stronghold for Boys, and completed his secondary education at the commercial branch of the evening junior high teachers ‘ union in Basra.
Began his career in 1954 in the transport sector and output clearance, and was able to two years after Exactly to open an office on behalf of ( downloads and Transport Varoujan ), scored Since that day had limited success , the extent that allowed him to storm the bastions of the shipping company , drawing on his experience field , فارتبط functionally branch maritime agencies , beginning the career ladder of degrees ( observed ) , it was the first day of the month of June 1969, but he soon scored more successes professional and technical skills , and perhaps helped him to his English , which is spoken by a rude and dialogue and writing, fluent proficiency . .
Were not smile dissociation and face clean-shaven , even in the darkest conditions , and did not leave work until after office hours , and often spends the whole night , following the unloading of this ship , or watching the arrival of another ship coming from Europe or Asia, or count the containers shipped and returned style traditional , which is not likely error. .

Secret successes Alfarojanih the ongoing
Each story is and where this man sanctifies his work to the point of absolute loyalty of ports and docks , ships and cargo in عنابرها , knows us all by name, knows all who worked with him or in معيته , did not forget one of them , he ( may God prolong his age ) has a memory , steel does not rust , is not known to damage , while the weapons that made them such a good reputation, it is his sincere direct , who does not know twisting and turning , and his appointments minute, and respect for relations career based on contexts correct , and flexibility in dealing civilization with small and large .
No doubt that every person on earth loves success, and likes to be ahead and ahead of his peers , but I find the success of Varoujan him another taste , and has kept secret does not know the people, I told him what the secret of your success , sir Abu Helen, he replied simplicity usual : (( look Kazim, I do not Ahabi one, not أعادي one , do not look at the social level of the people, nor to their balance financial , nor to their career , what are grown harvested, and this is the secret of success and excellence , because if you knew the secret and the law of success ستتفجر have all the energy stored inside you , and created by God in you, and you have to be improved conjecture with people, and do not forget the optimism that gives you the power of positive thinking , and save you from negative thoughts , many are passing on the human experiences of face value plight , but they contain all goodness , who knows a silver lining , and perhaps the problems we sometimes face is the window that good will come of them unknown, which no one knows except God, and reconciled to God )).
Positions are stored in the memory
Brilliance of this man taking part actors in 1979 in the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), and won the approbation everyone objection to the increase of coercive , proposed by the President of the Conference by 15% on the wages of Cargo ships bound for Iraqi ports, was Varoujan first objectors to the increase imposed on Iraq , and was able to moral courage , but his English is well placed to convince the members of the Conference , having them reviewed a series of justifications and documents and scientific evidence that refuted that the proposed increase.
Varojan 3
His other positions were marked by challenging the big dilemma faced by the Iraqi ports in the seventies of the last century, which erupted crisis Aktdad the ships coming to Iraq, and their accumulation in the waiting area and collected at the Khawr Abd Allah approaches .
Were not Iraqi ministries coordinate their import at the time with the Ministry of Transport and Communications , Valtaakedat improvisational is studied, and business deals random , unplanned , is the direct cause of the outbreak of the crisis and aggravation , and found Varoujan himself in the midst of this battle, which proliferated in which violations , colorful where dilemmas, and accumulated errors , was the first thought of the development committee or the board of a National organizing the transport of goods imported through the ports of Iraq, and was among the few who stood in the storm , day and night breaks , and devoted all his efforts to overcome the repercussions of that problem . .
For this noble man other positions reflect modesty and honesty , I remember the day I was charged with the guidance of the passenger ship UAE (Jebel Ali ) from the port of Umm Qasr to the sea, were not ship ready to sail , and was not a comfortable room dedicated guide , Fajss me Prime officers a large room of the rooms first class, entered the room and استلقيت on the bed until the completion of the work of the ship, waiting for their readiness to sail , فجلبت my attention gold pieces glamorous tied with wire , and hung ceiling room, I got up from my bed and taken , if the valuable piece , made on the Indian style , like bracelets , I left my room immediately, and went to the office of Mr. Varoujan in the ship , I put the bracelet on the table, and recounted his position, Vhkurna and grabbed my hand and took me to the room, the captain, and asked him to edit arrived formal receipt of the bracelet, and notice of the owning company , have not gone a few days until you receive rewarding financial reward from the UAE company , and a book of thanks and appreciation from the Iraqi ports, reserved a copy of it now in personal Aillarta . .
The Last Station
Although approaching the threshold of the eighth decade of life, is still ( may God prolong his age ) retains vitality old , get up early in the morning , wearing his clothes, elegant , sitting in his small office , communicates with the departments of shipping lines in the Gulf and Europe , answers to queries maritime agencies the other , does not spare his disciples advice and guidance , the man in the argument of competence , and aware of the flags of the maritime agencies , do not shove him in this regard dust . .
Maybe objected objectors on Our inclusion of the name of grand master Varoujan in the list of the flags of Basra , especially after the people used to be limited this list to writers and scholars , but we say to those that Basra Castle enamel large castles Sciences , Arts and Letters , and the interface freely imposing , was once a bridge to the world old , are connected by three continents Bakualha land and sea , it is possible that fail to mention their flags who had the great merit to uphold the will of marine and maritime trade in the basin of the Arabian Gulf and the Indian Ocean. .

Iraqi Helicopter Shot Down During Military Operation
Iraqi officials say gunmen have shot down a military helicopter during an operation against insurgents north of Baghdad.
The officials said at least two Iraqi crew members and two soldiers on board the aircraft were killed. The helicopter was providing aerial support to troops on the ground during a gun battle on October 2 with militants outside the city of Tikrit, some 80 kilometers north of the capital.
The fighting was part of a military operation against insurgents launched recently in Sunni-dominated areas in central and northern Iraq.
There has been a spike in violence in recent months between Iraq’s Sunni Muslims and members of the Shi’ite majority. The violence has raised fears of a return to the all-out Sunni-Shi’ite sectarian conflict that peaked in 2006-2007 and killed tens of thousands of people.
