YEREVAN. – The residents of Armenia’s capital city can sample several dozen types of wine at Northern Avenue in Downtown Yerevan, as a huge two-day wine tasting fair has opened there on Saturday
The Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Robert Makaryan, told reporters on location that the products of 23 local wine producers are introduced at the fair.
Makaryan noted that the objective of this event is to assist local producers and entrepreneurs in selling their products.
But this fair can also interest tourists visiting Armenia, since it is a good opportunity to taste Armenian wines and learn more about local production.
Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Davit Ohanyan, in turn, stated that the Yerevan Municipality and the Ministry of Agriculture organize such joint fairs to assist local production.
