Karen Karapetyan appointed Vice Premier

April 18, 2018 By administrator

President Armen Sarkissian has signed a decree to appoint former Prime Minster Karen Karapetyan as Vice Premier.

Karapetyan, who headed the cabinet of ministers from September 2016 until April 2017, tendered his resignation last Monday following the fourth president’s inauguration.

The National Assembly on Tuesday overwhelmingly elected Serzh Sargsyan as Prime Minister.

Vache Gabrielyan, a former vice premier and minister of economic integration and reforms, and Armen Gevorgyan, a former minister of territorial integration, have been appointed as deputy prime ministers.
