The tourism opportunities of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) were presented at the 38th International Tourism Trade Fair (FITUR 2018) hosted by Madrid, Spain from 17 to 21 January.
The Artsakh delegation presented the country’s attractive and diverse tourism results with the Armenian delegation in a single pavilion, the press department of the Artsakh Ministry of Culture, Youth Affairs and Tourism told Panorama.am.
During the fair, the Artsakh delegation also organized a wine-tasting event attracting large number of visitors, during which the delegates briefed the participants on the Artsakh winemaking traditions and wine routes.
With the support of the Artsakh Ministry of Culture, Youth Affairs and Tourism, tour operators and specialized organizations registered in the republic also took part in the exhibition.
FITUR 2018 is one of the biggest tourism fairs organized in Europe. This year, the fair brought together an estimated number of 10,000 exhibiting companies from 165 countries, attracting around 140,000 visitors.
