Armenia planning to expand military product range built inside the country

military product range built inside the country Armenia intends to expand the military product range manufactured inside the country and provide the armed forces with modern weapons and military equipment.

The government on Thursday, June 15 approved the project launched after president Serzh Sargsyan’s instructions of January 31.

Defense minister Vigen Sargsyan presented the program to the cabinet members.

According to the project, the move will help perform systemic reforms and improve relations between legal entities and individual entrepreneurs and Armenia’s executive bodies.

Armenia exported more non-mineral products than Azerbaijan

armenia-exportArmenia‘s exports of non-mineral primary products exceeded those of Azerbaijan in January-August 2016.

The total export from Azerbaijan amounted to some $5.8 billion in the reporting period. Leaving oil products and gas (87%) out of these figures, however, reveals that the export volume including the gold and black metals shipped abroad totals some $756.2 million.

According to the National Statistical Service, Armenia exported $1.129 billion-worth goods, including non-mineral primary products of $829.4 million, which means the country outstripped Azerbaijan in terms of non-primary products export by some $73 million.

Iraq, Baghdad Provincial Council to vote on boycotting Turkish products

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – Baghdad Provincial Council has voted on Tuesday on boycotting the Turkish products and any contract or agreement with Turkish companies.

Member of Baghdad Provincial Council Saad al-Matlabi said in an interview for IraqiNews.com: “The Council voted today on boycotting the Turkish products,” adding that “The council also called the executive arm of the council to prevent any agreement with any Turkish companies.”
