Petrified easyJet passengers sit in horror as deported migrant screams ‘Allahu Akbar’ and ‘death is coming’ throughout flight

September 11, 2016 By administrator

easyjet-ala-akbarDuring an 11-minute tirade he screamed “Allahu Akbar” 29 times, “death is coming” 17 times, and “we will die” nine times.

Passengers on an easyJet flight sat in horror as a deported migrant repeatedly shouted “Allahu Akbar” and “today we will die”.

The Mail on Sunday reports the ranting man who was being deported by Home Office officials on the flight from Gatwick Airport to Venice.

During an 11-minute tirade he screamed “Allahu Akbar” 29 times, “death is coming” 17 times, and “we will die” nine times.

Passengers were reportedly prevented from using the toilets at the back of the plane near the man and asked to delete any pictures and audio they had taken by cabin crew.

The man was escorted from the plane by Italian police once the flight landed in Venice on August 23.

American Airlines Endangers Passengers Sending Ill-Equipped Plane Long-Haul

September 13, 2015 By administrator

1026951276American Airlines “screwed up” last month when the company sent the wrong plane to Hawaii from Los Angeles, one unable to fly over water for long distances.
The airline acknowledged its mistake but only after it was too late — the Airbus A321S unauthorized to fly over Pacific was already en route to the island loaded with passengers and crew onboard, according to American Airlines spokesman Casey Norton.
On August 31, the Federal Aviation Administration and American Airlines made a risky decision to let AA Flight 31 reach the destination after “someone on the ground” realized the unprecedented situation.
The Honolulu-bound aircraft did not have Extended-range Twin-engine Operational Performance Standards certification to make the flight over Pacific.
The plane also lacked emergency oxygen and fire suppression equipment required for long-haul flight, meaning the crew that prepared the flight violated FAA regulations.
Norton said that the A321-H aircraft meant to fly to Honolulu was part of American Airlines’ long-term strategy to renew its aircrafts including Boeing 757s which had been making regular flights to Hawaii until August 18 when the A321-H was put into service.

“Somebody screwed up big-time, somewhere,” an American Airlines pilot told CNN, speaking on the condition of anonymity.

The pilot gave details on how the process of preparing a cargo for such a flight usually goes: the maintenance crews must sign off on all extended operation certified equipment on any long-haul aircraft and check all related items before approving a plane as certified to fly.

“All (extended operation) related equipment must be certified and be operational before a plane is cleared to fly. That means everything from oil quantities, to crew oxygen

quantities, to retardants — they all have to be looked at,” he said.

“All I can say is, thank God they didn’t have an emergency on that flight.”

For its part, the airline claimed that they acted quickly when they figured out their mistake.
“When we realized what happened, we immediately notified the FAA and began a thorough review of our procedures,” Norton said. “Already, we have revised our software to properly identify the correct aircraft are operating the correct routes.”
Though the plane safely landed in Honolulu, it was shortly been returned back to LAX with no passengers on board.

‘Flight Safety’? Uzbekistan Airways Now Weighs All passengers Before Takeoff

August 13, 2015 By administrator

1025731485Uzbekistan Airways recently posted new “preflight procedures” to its website, which require any passengers carrying hand baggage to weigh in before boarding the plane.

The message on the company’s website states the procedure is required to ensure flight safety, referencing International Air Transport Association (IATA) regulations, according to which “airlines are obliged to carry out the regular procedures of preflight control passengers weighing with hand baggage.”

An IATA spokesperson told CNN that the organization has no rules pertaining to weighing passengers.

Meanwhile, Uzbekistan Airways guarantees its passengers full confidentiality, and says weights will not be associated with passengers’ names, and instead the “weighing record will only contain the corresponding passenger category (i.e. male/ female/ children).” Special scales will be placed near departure gates.

This is not the first time an airline has become concerned with their customers’ weight. In 2013, Samoa Air became the first airline in the world to enforce a pay-by-weight policy, according to which the price of an airline ticket depends on the total weight of the passenger and her or his baggage. The airline’s website explains it’s necessary in order to “pay for what you carry, and everyone pays for what they use (which is the dreaded kilo or pound if you prefer).”

The approach taken by Uzbekistan Airways doesn’t appear to be connected to ticket price just yet.

Azerbaijan passengers in 2 planes that landed in Armenia

December 23, 2014 By administrator

emegency planeYEREVAN. – Due to adverse weather conditions, two Ukraine International Airlines passenger planes, which were en route from the Ukrainian capital city Kyiv to the Georgian capital city Tbilisi, had to temporarily land in Zvartnots International Airport of Armenia’s capital city Yerevan, and there were Azerbaijani citizens on board these aircrafts.

The Press Secretary of the Armenian government-affiliated General Department of Civil Aviation (GDCA), Ruben Grdzelyan, told the aforesaid to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

In his words, the first plane landed on Sunday night and stayed at the airport for six hours while the second aircraft landed on Monday at the same time and stayed at Zvartnots for five hours.

“There were 24 Azerbaijanis on board the first day’s flight, and 13 Azerbaijanis on the second day. According to the procedure, the aircraft passengers disembarked the plane—except for four [Azerbaijani passengers]—, [and] remained in the buffer zone until the weather conditions improved.

“While at the airport, the passengers of these flights were provided food, [and] assisted in exchanging foreign currency.

“At the end, all passengers, including the Azerbaijanis, thanked the airport workers and left for Tbilisi with satisfaction,” Grdzelyan stressed.

Reflecting on the aforesaid four Azerbaijani passengers who had refused to get off from Monday’s flight that had temporarily landed in Yerevan, the GDCA spokesperson noted that, as a result, the plane crew likewise had to remain on board the plane and, in addition, the aircraft was heated for them.

And as for the fact that one of the Azerbaijani passengers had told the Azerbaijani media that the Armenian airport personnel wanted to pick up and stamp their passports while they were waiting at Zvartnots, Grdzelyan refuted this information noting that there was no need for this, since the passengers had remained in the buffer zone.

“According to the procedure, [however,] the passports were checked solely when going on board the plane to make sure that they are the passengers of that plane,” he added.
