Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel, who arrived in Armenia for a two-day visit, attended the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial complex and paid tribute to the victims of the Armenian Genocide.
Accompanied by Armenia’s Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and Deputy Director at the Armenian Genocide Museum Institute Suren Manukyan, the Chancellor placed flowers at the eternal fire which immortalizes the memory of the innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide. The Chancellor then planted a fir tree at the Memory Alley of the Memorial.
