Kurdistan Communities Union (KCK) calls upon all Kurdistan people to rise up everywhere

September 10, 2015 By administrator

COi8k8gUsAAfjZ7KCK (Kurdistan Communities Union) Executive Council Co-Presidency has released a statement calling for total resistance against the increasingly ongoing terror by Turkish state forces in Northern Kurdistan, the Kurdish region in Turkey.

Stressing that the people of Cizre should be supported in the same way the the resistance in Kobanê was supported, KCK called on the people to to act in line with the the Kurdistan People’s Initiative’s call for a long freedom march to Cizre, highlighting support to this call issued in solidarity with the people of the town under attack by Turkish state forces.

Describing the situation in Bakurê (Northern) Kurdîstan and Turkey as an attack to make the Kurdish people surrender, KCK recalled that 5 to 6 civilians were being killed every day for the last one and a half month during which a number of towns in the region have been demolished and destroyed by heavy weapon attacks.

Pointing to the huge siege and attack on the town of Cizre Botan, one of the major centers of resistance in Kurdistan history, KCK stated that snipers positioned on high buildings are shooting civilians that go out, while Turkish forces bombed neighborhoods and streets with heavy weapons, which didn’t allow the locals to go our for a five minute even to meet their basic needs.

“Attacks aim to make the people surrender by both killing them and depriving them of food and water. The majority of those killed and wounded is made up by women and children. The Turkish state is not committed to any moral or social values. It even disobeys its own laws and therefore blatantly perpetrates any kind of persecution and attack. The silence of the world also encourages and plays a role in the execution of these attacks.”

Remarking that all Kurdistan people faced a major duty in the face of the current situation, KCK said the Kurdish people in four parts of Kurdistan, those in Europe, Armenia and Russia as well, must immediately rise up everywhere they live and display solidarity with their kins subjected to massacre, persecution and repression.

KCK underlined that all democratic and revolutionary forces in Turkey, Middle East and the world should also rise up to avoid being being a party to this persecution in Kurdistan, adding; “The people of Cizre should be supported in the same way the the resistance in Kobanê was supported. It is time to rise up and stand by the people of Bakurê (Northern) Kurdîstan, the people of Cizre in the first place.

Kurdistan Communities Union (KCK) says declaring self-rule now only option for Kurds

August 13, 2015 By administrator

226251The Kurdistan Communities Union (KCK), an umbrella group that encompasses the terrorist Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), has said there is no option for Kurds in Turkey other than declaring autonomy for themselves. report zaman

The KCK’s executive committee asserted in a statement on Wednesday that the so-called people’s assembly of Silopi, Cizre, Nusaybin and Şırnak had previously declared that they would not recognize any state institution, declare self-rule and “use their legitimate self-defense rights if their self-rule is attacked.”

Recalling statements by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on Wednesday in which he said an aerial campaign against PKK targets will continue until terrorist organizations stop posing a threat against the country, the KCK statements said, “there is no option other than autonomy for Kurds in the face of a political mentality which insists on a nation-state and which does not recognize local democracy.”

In a speech at a ceremony at the presidential palace late on Tuesday, Erdoğan vowed to continue military operations against the PKK “until not one terrorist is left.” He emphasized that stopping armed attacks would not be enough to maintain security, insisting that the “guns should be buried in cement.”

“Our fight will continue until terrorist organizations stop posing a threat to our country; until guns pointed at our state and our people are buried. I would like to put an emphasis here. Stopping gunfire is not enough. The guns should be laid down and buried. I insist on that. Our fight will continue until the guns are buried in cement and not one terrorist is left within our borders,” he said.

The Turkish military has ratcheted up pressure on the terrorist group with a fresh round of air strikes in southeastern Turkey, as the PKK claimed responsibility for the bombing of a police station in İstanbul on Monday.

Warplanes pounded 17 targets in the province of Hakkari on Monday and Tuesday, the military said, part of a renewed crackdown on the PKK.

Turkey: Cease-fire out of the question unless Öcalan set free, KCK’s Bayık says

Cemil Bayık, the “number two” man of the  Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), said on Thursday that the possibility of a cease-fire is out of the question unless the PKK’s jailed leader Abdullah Öcalan is set free and that the required conditions to launch negotiations to seek a solution to the Kurdish problem must be met.

Bayık, also head of the Kurdistan Communities Union (KCK), an umbrella political organization for the PKK, argued that following Öcalan’s call for the PKK to lay down their arms two-and-a-half years ago, the PKK has observed an atmosphere of a cease-fire. “But despite the PKK’s move for inaction, the Turkish government has never acted in conjunction with this de facto cease-fire,” Bayık continued to argue.

“Öcalan is currently being held in prison and he is prevented from engaging in talks on the Kurdish issue, which has dominated the country’s agenda for 40 years, since the PKK launched an armed campaign that has claimed more than 40,000 lives, making a cease-fire impossible,” Bayık said.

He argued that holding Öcalan in prison is a clear reason to re-launch a war against the Turkish state.

In an article published by the Azadiya Welat daily on Thursday, Bayık contended that the government has never fulfilled the necessary conditions for sustainable peace and expedited the construction of “kalekol” (military outposts with high security) in southeastern Turkey.

He also stated that if the current government or the future government to be formed does not consider addressing the Kurdish problem and negotiating with Öcalan then nothing will change in terms of the cease-fire.

Turkey Fidan admitted MİT faction executed 3 PKK women in Paris, KCK head claims

March 16, 2015 By administrator

n_71523_1Cemil Bayık, the head of the Kurdistan Communities’ Union (KCK), has reportedly said that Hakan Fidan, head of the National Intelligence Organization (MIT), admitted that a group within the intelligence body was responsible for the execution of three Kurdish women linked to the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in Paris in 2013.

In an interview published on Sunday in the Cumhuriyet daily, Bayık, who is also the “number two” man in the outlawed PKK, claimed that the Paris murders were committed by a faction consisting of ultranationalists and members of the “parallel state,” in reference to the Gülen movement, also known as Hizmet movement, within MİT, adding, “But he [Fidan] is the head of MİT, and it is impossible to think he is not aware of the assassinations.”

Three Kurdish women, Sakine Cansız, Fidan Doğan and Leyla Söylemez, were found dead with gunshot wounds at a Kurdish information center in Paris in January 2013. The killing of the PKK-linked women is yet to be solved.

When asked whether MİT executed key members of the PKK while it was involved in the talks with the group, Bayık, who clearly expressed his lack of confidence in Fidan’s argument that he was not aware of the killings, stated that besides MİT, other international actors took part in the murders to interrupt the Kurdish settlement process. The talks were initiated in 2011 in order to seek a solution to the country’s decades-long Kurdish problem, which cost nearly 40,000 lives.

Continuing his argument that MİT is aware of the killing, Bayık went on to say, “Any information on this issue was tampered with, but those perpetrators are clear from our point of view.”

Öcalan to issue letter for Nevruz

While a heated debate continues as to whether jailed PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan will send a video message to the people for the approaching Nevruz celebrations, which would be expected to contribute to the establishment of peace in the country, pro-Kurdish Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) İstanbul deputy Sırrı Süreyya Önder has said that Öcalan will issue a letter instead of a video message.

As such a potential Nevruz message would be expected to have a positive impact on the ongoing peace talks, Önder, who visited Öcalan with a delegation of HDP deputies on Saturday, stressed that the letter that Öcalan is currently composing will include extensive reviews regarding the settlement process.

“In his letter, Öcalan is preparing to share his ideas with the Turkish people and world public regarding concrete steps for solution of the Kurdish problem. The letter will include the main principles of the path to the peace,” Önder noted.
